“Former Marine” who foiled bank robbery, was a bank robber

| July 1, 2013

Mary sends us a link to The Blaze which reports that Eugene Storley, who is told the media that he was a Marine and stopped a bank robbery in Florida (we talked about him last week) was himself a bank robber in the 1970s;

Storley told multiple news outlets he is a Marine Corps veteran and former Miami police officer, but as the Space Coast Daily reported Saturday, not only is there no record of Storley as a Florida law enforcement officer, he pleaded guilty to bombing a bank in New Jersey in the 1970s:

A Federal Agent refuted Storley’s claims of service as a U.S. Marine Veteran and law enforcement officer. The agent also detailed Storley’s conviction for the bombing of the National State Bank in Trenton, New Jersey in 1977. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said they have no record of Storley ever being a law enforcement officer in the state of Florida.

So, we’re looking for his records now, and Mary couldn’t find him in her database of Vietnam veterans.

One of Bill Ayers’ boys, no doubt. Good to know someone checked his claims – even though it was after the fact.

The report should have read “Eugene Sorley, who claims to be a Marine veteran…”

PintoNag

Maybe TAH needs to have a sister blog that outs journalists who don’t check their information before presenting it as fact.

@2. There isn’t enough bandwidth in existence to handle that kind of load, LOL.

Andy

bloody hell. now I feel like an ass for sending that story in to you guys in the first place. All the guy said in the interview was he was a former Marine and former cop. No valor claims, no Recon/SEAL Marine BS. bloody hell….

OWB

Bank robber. Terrorist. Yep, about the same as a Marine. Well, maybe only to a member of the media.

USMCE8Ret

@4 – No harm done, Andy.

Hey, check out the link that Jonn has in the post above! In the video Mr. Clean talks about being the Marine, a cop, (early retirement for an *injury*) and all government work as a DJ that keeps him busy. Not sure what MC club he’s in–you’ll have to check out his vest for his bona fides. But this was in Brevard County, so he probably has some sweet veteran contracts that keep him busy scratching.

@7,
He hangs out with Monkeyass. LMAO….
Maybe we can get Psul to sockpuppet for this guy too!!!
He sure is petering out on the Phil threads.

One of the children of the hippies Weather Underground/Weathermen/SDS. I wonder if Bill Ayers knew him back-in-the-day?

Hondo

B Woodman: more like one of their contemporaries, actually. The guy is about the same age as Ayers – he’s 65. Ayers is only 68.

PavePusher

What a jerk. All he had to do was take credit for his good deed and show how he’d reformed himself. Guess that was just too difficult for him….

FatCircles0311

God damn it.

@12, My sentiments exactly. It turns out that these fuc_ers are everywhere. Hell you can’t even trust a proffered DD-214 with all the computer generated fakes floating around. What are we to do when a feel good story turns out out be just another Clown stealing our honor?

Close enuf. A turd is still a turd, no matter how young or old, contemporary or child/student – it still stinks and needs to be flushed.

A Proud Infidel & Patriot

He looks like a turd.
He acts like a turd (Military & LEO POSER)
He talks & acts like a turd.

TURD!!

CI Roller Dude

Wow, just amazing how many people are full of shit.

We need a group of guys broken up by territories who just pay a visit to folks like this. Take ’em outside in the parking lot for just a “talk” about where they served and then just beat the hell out of ’em.
