David Bergin: A SEAL from Oz

| December 9, 2012

We’ve attracted the attention of some of our allies downunder. The folks at ANZMI (Australian & New Zealand Military Imposters) sent us a link to one of their own phonies, David Bergin. Bergin claims that he was in the Australian Army, when he was able to transfer to the US Navy where he flew Apache helicopters and also became a colonel in the SEALs. I can’t find any evidence that the Navy even uses Apaches, the Marine Corps still uses Cobras, as far as I know.

Even if it was true, why would the Navy need a SEAL-trained helicopter pilot? And there are no colonels in the Navy, dingus.

You can see in the picture above, Bergin claims he was awarded the Navy Cross. The only Bergin with a Navy Cross was Charles Bergin in the Second World War. According to ANZMI, bergin also claims that he was also awarded the Medal of Honor (of course), but he lost it. That happens all of the time. Who can keep track of those things?

Yeah, his story is so convoluted that I’m not even going to bother our experts looking for him in our rolls and declare him a phony as he stands.

He’s truly the SEAL from Oz, Jonn.

Dorothy’s and Toto’s Oz. You know, the one where everything was make-believe.

Addendum: this guy’s bogus claims in the original ANZMI article are a hoot. He gives new meaning to the term “blivet”.

You have to stop saying there are no sergeants, majors, or colonels in the SEALs. How else are you going to catch them and trip them?

What is sooo funny about these guys is that can’t even lie effectively. Do some research before you claim this crap. LOL-Apaches in the Navy and Colonels in the SEALs are easy to research..

Green Thumb

Loser.

Big Deal…Ballduster was a Knight of the Realm or somesuch. Navy Cross? Is that all he can claim?

“His excuse for not wearing the Medal of Honour is that he lost it and could not get a replacement because all records of such events were sealed in his record and personally burnt by the US President to protect him.”
Well, that’s a new one…

Green Thumb

The guy just looks tough.

Not.

NHSparky

Tough, Green? He looks constipated to me.

I can just imagine it now, President Obama on his knees in the Lincoln bedroom, next to the fireplace with a box of wooden matches, torching the records of David Bergin and all the logs and reports of the terrorist attack on the Benghazi consulate.

Retired Master

But he did! He did!!

He “LOST” his Medal of Honor? No shit? I guess I have OCD or something…I have every pirrly little AAM I ever earned. I even keep track of my doofy certificates of achievement.

The hilarious thing is that his wife is working in the army base at Darwin as a trainee firefighter, no doubt he’s been spreading it around up there like a bad case of herpes.

I’m surprised the silly women and her lying husband haven’t been run out of town. Absolutely disgusting.
