Beware the Pastry Chef
Let me preface everything I’m about to say by saying how overjoyed I was in watching Scott Brown take “Ted Kennedy’s” seat in the US Senate.
But before you get too excited about the transforming event that occurred in Massachusetts take a look at this guy.
First, he’s a JAG officer (ala Lindsay Graham), next he seems about as comfortable in that beret as I would be at a Danny Glover seminar on the evils of capitalism. And lastly, what officer wears BOLO badges?
Here’s the thing that everybody needs to be aware of. This guy is not a conservative. He is pro abortion and at least at one point was pro Romney-care.
And it’s not just Scott “Sexiest man alive” Brown that leads me to issue this warning.
Beau Biden has decided to avoid the humility of losing his father’s seat in the US Senate. This has left Republican Representative Castle with a double digit lead to capture that seat as well. While this is good news Castle is a big government guy as well. He voted for TARP and more damning that piece of shit Cap and Tax Bill that Pelosi and the lunatic left pushed through the House.
Barbara Boxer is also feeling the heat. The veteran socialist Senator is in deep shit in California of all places. Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has closed to within three points in the latest Rasmussen poll. Again this is great news, but understand that Fiorina is not a conservative. She is a big government, pro-abortion, McCain flavored Republican.
It’s not just Senate seats either. Kirk Dillard is a Republican leading in the polls for the future governor of Illinois. This guy is beyond an ass clown. He endorsed Barack Obama and even made at least one commercial for him.
This list goes on and gets worse when you look at likely competitive House races.
There is a ground swell against the Democrats and that is a good thing but I remind you that not everything that came out of the 1994 miracle turned out to be so wonderful.
Remember that Mark Foley was swept into office in 1994 and turned out to be a predatory pervert. 1994 also launched the career of Lindsay Graham who when he takes a few minutes of his head out of John McCain’s ass does everything in his power to piss off conservatives.
Watch these people carefully because once they’re in they are often difficult to remove.
You have been warned.

#1- He don’t got a (D) by his name.
#2- He is a New England Republican.
#3- The beret sucks balls.
#4- Bolo badges are like bling, when you don’t got a combat patch, you gotta make up for it with shiny objects.
#5- He is a part-time JAG.
#6- His daughter is pretty hot.
#7- Did I mention that he don’t got a (D) by his name.
I posted the previous entry.
COB6, if only these people made up the Democratic party instead of the Socialists and anti-Capitalists that make up that party today. Then at least both parties would believe in the greatness of the United States.
Did I, or did I not, issue a semi-warning about this dude?
Next- if you were ENLISTED before becoming an O, and you EARNED a bolo badge, you should be able to wear it and re-earn it. ‘Specially if you qual expert in every device they hand you…
Wolf
You know, not everyone can be Audie Murphy.
In the end, no matter WHAT he is… he ain’t Coakley.
And that was all I needed to know.
I’m with Anonymous on #4.
That and JAG + ARNG = not a good representation of what right looks like.
-Active duty, competitive category guys in mainstream career fields would never do this.
-He probably has JAG NCOs who don’t know any better to give him a lesson about the O’s and the BOLOs.
All true but as the Democrats have shown us when the thumbscrews are applied there are no moderates or centrists. Always better to have more R’s than D’s at crunch time even if you have to hold your nose.
The enemey of my enemy is my friend.
I have to agree with COB on this. Do we want another dem lite representing us? The American public said no to McCain, because there wasn’t a dimes worth of difference between him and Obama on many issues. As the great Ronaldus Maximus said “instead of shades of pastels, it should be broad bright colors seperating the differences between the dems and repubs”. Why do you think that a lot of conservatives stayed home on election day? It’s because there weren’t that many true conservative candidates on the tickets, including for POTUS. That’s why people are pissed off, because there isn’t a clear distinction, anymore, and the brain trust of the repub party seems to think that if they act more like dems, people will vote for them. They have the mindset of holding office over values. How’d that work for ya the last 2 election cycles? Sorry, I don’t vote that way and if they continue to go down that road, I won’t vote for them in 2010 or 2012.
I stated, before, that I was, and am, a Duncan Hunter fan, along with Fred Thompson and my dream team would be Thompson/Hunter. Could you imagine Ahmanutjob, Chavez, the Castro brothers, etc. squaring up against an Airborne Ranger and attempting to lecture about the evils of America? Yeah, that would go over like a turd in a punchbowl. What do you think would have happened if it were Thompson/Hunter sitting there listening to that commie puke Ortega ripping on the US for an hour? He probably would have gotten his ass kicked 5 minutes into his tirade.
So you take what you can get. And what the country got with Brown was a “No” on Obamacare and a series of “yeses” on national defense issues. The rest we’ll have to find out about. Face it, a solid conservative could not have won in Mass – or in most states as primary after primary shows. Super conservative get pounded at the ballot box – like Goldwater in ’64. Evan Reagan was “Mostly Conservative” rather than Hard Conservative and full of compromise when needed. Remember the majority of voters are Center/right. Politics is the art of the possible and compromise and consensus building are parts of the system. The last time the Country failed to find a compromise solution it cost 600,000 American lives and a generation or two (Civil War) to re-balance the books. It looks like the Right will have to go at this the same way you eat an elephant – one bite at a time.
I think you miss the point a bit COB6. Yes RINO’s (I wouldn’t call Brown that exactly, but for the sake of arguement…) can be difficult to get out of office, but they seem to prove much easier to unelect in blue states than liberal Democrats i.e. Kennedy, Boxer, et al…
Also, what is more significant is the effect it has on subsequent elections as long as the RINO doesn’t piss off the general electorate (in the Blue State, remember) too much. It makes it much easier for real conservatives to run against one term liberal Democrats. Voters realize it is OK to vote Republican, the Klan is not going to march down the streets handing out assault rifles to their children…
Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
That being said there is NO reason to accept a RINO in a Red or even Purple State. Lindsey has to go.
Don’t forget that he is also stupid enough to jump out of a perfectly functioning aircraft.
Gathering of Eagles should hire him to help Chris Hill improve the shape his beret.
I think he was prior enlisted, not in the JAG corps. So, he’s not exactly like Biden/Murphy/Graham.
Jesse, there is no way on earth to improve the shape of that stupid beret. It’s a POS that has no business being the headgear of the US Army.
Sgt K said: “Don’t forget that he is also stupid enough to jump out of a perfectly functioning aircraft.”
Who said they were “perfectly functioning aircraft”? They were “military aircraft”.
And I, myself, would rather jump from one than land in one any day.
I supported Brown over Croakley, and for my effort, my online designs in his favor sold better than any of my other political designs in the past 4 years. As one commenter suggested; Brown winning in Mass has made the way a bit easier for Republican non-incumbants across the country.
