Kaitlyn Alanis
A 23-year-old store clerk was assaulted behind the register before he pulled out a gun and shot the man attacking him, Texas police said.

Police officers were called to the northeast Houston convenience store shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, according to a news release.

A 36-year-old man was found with “multiple gunshot wounds” and taken to a local hospital, where Houston homicide detectives say he was pronounced dead.

“Detectives learned the male appeared to be intoxicated on an unknown substance when he entered the business, went behind the cash register and assaulted the convenience store clerk,” the Houston Police Department said.

Man is killed with his own knife after stealing 3 vehicles in 1 day, Oklahoma cops say

BY KAITLYN ALANIS
A man is accused of stealing three vehicles in one day before he was fatally stabbed with his own knife, according to authorities in Oklahoma.

The “carjacking and theft spree” began at about 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, when two men stole a truck as the driver was inside a doughnut shop, according to a news release from Tulsa police. The keys had been left inside the truck.

About four hours later, officers were called to a carjacking. Police said the same two men — later identified as 32-year-old David Getsinger and 44-year-old David Leleux — assaulted a worker at a construction site before stealing his truck.

Then Getsinger and Leleux abandoned the truck and stole another, police said. The third victim whose pickup truck was taken called police about 45 minutes later to say he was following his now-stolen truck, according to the news release.

Authorities say he was chasing the truck when the stolen vehicle crashed and came to a stop.

Video captures Las Vegas vape shop owner stopping day-time robbery by stabbing would-be thief

Ryan General
Surveillance video inside a vape shop in Las Vegas shows an owner defending himself with a knife from would-be robbers.
On Aug. 3, Johnny Nguyen, 22, was captured on film stabbing one of three juveniles who tried to rob his store, the Smokestrom Smoke Shop in the neighborhood of West Sahara in Las Vegas.

According to Nguyen, two masked individuals entered his shop while another stood by the door at around 3:25 p.m.on Aug. 3.

In the video, Nguyen can be heard asking them as they approach the counter, ”Why are you guys wearing masks like that?”

After not receiving a response, Nguyen is then heard asking them “to just leave.”

When one of the robbers then grabs the tip jar and proceeds to the door, Nguyen asks them to take the money but “leave the coins.”

The thief grabs something else from the store shelf before fleeing out the door.

The other assailant is then seen jumping over the counter, prompting Nguyen to grab a sharp object and stab him several times.

Good thing Mr. Nguyen isn’t in Brooklyn. Thanks to our very own David for the link.

If I had to work as a “store clerk” again, you’d bet I’d be packing.
In the 1970s, a college friend of mine took advantage of the law that doesn’t consider replica antique firearms to be firearms for the purpose of the law forbidding carrying – and used a blackpowder revolver to give a thief his permanent dirt nap.
Sadly, convenience store folks are easy targets.

And why in the word does anyone leave the keys in their car at any time? Just begging to lose your car, idiot.

Probably because he left it running…possibly because if he turned it off it might not start up again. Just saying, it was Oklahoma. Also judging by the condition of the third vehicle stolen.

“…found with “multiple gunshot wounds”…pronouced dead.” And THAT, Boys and Girls, is how it it done!

Them Davids shoulda went all Biblical and followed the original David’s weapon of choice plan and toted a sling shot with some rocks.

Fight back, bring any and every weapon to bear.

Even plasticized imported abominations loves to compare themselves with the designs of HMS, JMB…HBHN!

Vape shop clerk Johnny Nguyen better hire a lawyer.
The criminal was committing misdemeanor petty theft when Johnny stabbed him in the back and neck. There was no force used or threatened by the thief.
You are forbidden in 49 states from defending property with deadly force.
You are only permitted to use non deadly Force to protect property.
He could legally have used pepper spray, a taser or fists on the thief.
The other criminal had left the store and Johnny was in no danger when he escalated to deadly force by stabbing the thief.
While it seems like Justice that the criminal was stabbed, Nguyen is clearly at risk of being charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon, or even attempted murder.

It is now entirely at the discretion of the D A if he is charged.
He will be convicted if charged.
