Chicago man with jiu-jitsu black belt pins alleged thief who punched 7-Eleven worker: report
Idriz Redzovic owns Supreme Academy of Jiu-Jitsu in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood

By Stephen Sorace | Fox News
A Chicago man with a 3rd-degree Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt pinned an alleged thief who attacked a 7-Eleven employee last week and waited for police to arrive, a local report said.

Idriz Redzovic, who has 22 years of training and owns the Supreme Academy of Jiu-Jitsu in Lincoln Park, was buying 7-Eleven Slurpees for his kids when he noticed a man harassing patrons outside the store, FOX32 Chicago reported.

“Once I saw him actually connect and hit the employee in his head, I jumped in, grabbed him like I do in training here, put him down, flattened him like a pancake and then I tied him up like a pretzel in a position called ‘Gift Wrap’ or ‘Twisting Arm Control,’” Redzovic told the station.

A man who had been injuring himself with a knife then charged at Topeka police and was shot to death

Tim Hrenchir, Topeka Capital-Journal
A man inflicted multiple injuries upon himself using a knife, then stood up and charged Friday morning at three Topeka police officers, who each fired gunshots, killing him, said police Chief Bryan Wheeles.

Investigators were seeking Friday afternoon to determine the identity of the man, who was shot in an area where railroad tracks run just northeast of S.E. 4th and Holliday.

Police weren’t revealing the identities of the officers, who weren’t hurt.

“This incident is a community tragedy,” Wheeles said. “We are all saddened here today. Our prayers go out to all the impacted families.”

Multiple citizens called dispatchers just before 9 a.m. Friday to report that a man armed with a knife was threatening people and acting erratically in the area of the city’s Amtrak station at 500 S.E. Holliday Place, Wheeles said.

Thanks again, Gun Bunny.

There are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation. — James Madison

Mid-Western jorno-jingo? An inflicted man, stood up and charged Friday morning. Investigators sought Friday afternoon only to discover that railroad tracks run just northeast of southeast.

Police aren’t revealing the identity of officers who were, or were not, hurt by the community tragedy.

No word on the number of dispatchers who were called by multiple citizens.

“Do you hear that whistle down the line, I figure that it’s Engine #49,
She’s the only one that’ll sound that way on The Atchison, Topeka and The Santa Fe.

See the old smoke rising round the bend,
I reckon that she knows she’s gonna meet a friend.
Folks around these parts set the time of day
From on The Atchison, Topeka and The Santa Fe.”

Maybe they shoulda took the Orange Blossom Special? Did they miss the last train to Clarksville. Might not woulda happen if everybody hadn’t been kung foo fighting…or gotten cut like a knife. Homie is now on a Hellbound Train.

Too bad there isn’t a shot of “The Girls of The IDF” to go along with that SBR.

I think it’s going to take something sudden and violent for us to regain the freedoms we are losing to the despotic tyrants that dwell in the Sewer, Distric of Criminals.

He should have started on the right track and if he did, he would still be alive. Don’t think anyone railroaded him into doing what he did and sounds like suicide by cop. I hear that train acoming, it’s right around the bend, I haven’t seen the sunshine till I don’t know when I’m stuck in Folsom Prison.

When I was just a baby,
My momma told me “Son,
Always be a good boy,
Don’t ever play with guns.”
But I shot Janet Reno,
I thought she was a guy…

Alternate lyrics by an old friend of mine. Funny guy, always came up with shit like this while we were working.

My Son is a BJJ Brown Belt … He can fold people’s clothes while they are still wearing them. He trains 4-5 times a week… He works security and has only had to use it one time… Pretty much assisted another officer by putting a armlock on a guy and cuffing him.
Other than that he had a guy at a Rugby Match that was a bit too enthusiastic clearing out the Ruck so he did a guillotine choke, flipped him and sat on him until the guy chilled out.
Idriz Redzovic has a reputation as a great guy and instructor in the BJJ Community, he is at an entire nother level.
