Business owner thwarts burglary
Myndie VanHorn and her roomate ward off intruders; two men charged

By William L. Spence
A Lewiston artist was nursing a broken hand Thursday, after punching a man in the head “several times” as he attacked her roommate.

Myndie VanHorn, the owner of Art Uncorked in downtown Lewiston, said the incident began Wednesday morning, after her Ring security camera recorded two men taking items out of an unlocked storage area in her Main Street apartment building.

The men were already gone by the time she reviewed the camera video, VanHorn said, but they came back shortly after noon to get more stuff.

“I work about 250 steps from my apartment, so I came home and caught one of the guys in the hallway,” she said. “My roommate came to help while I was calling the police. (The suspect) got her down by the neck and was threatening to hurt her if we didn’t let him go. I punched him several times in the back of the head and broke my hand.”

At a guess, I suspect that Myndie has always been biologically accurate. Gotta luv the “cute” little butch peak on her boycut.

As to the thieves… try not to be too ashamed that you got worked over by girl, she probably outweighs you by thirty pounds, maybe more, and now she’s a “marshall” artist.

Highly recommend that those girls invest in some pepper spray, cattle prod or lick’n stick because I doubt they have seen the likes of Mr. Bright or Mr. Wilson.

Meanwhile, Myndie’s valor is commendable and admirable, wishing her a speed recovery.

Yep, nothing adds to your street cred at the Gray Bar Hotel like being beat up by a girl.

Didn’t watching Bonnie and Clyde teach these idjits that you can’t win a gunfight with the popo?

Chain saw bayonets mounted to scary black rifles have all kinds of uses. Just axed Tox…or -Dog.

Gotta get my azz in the shotgun seat and gets a rolling. 400 plus miles back to Fire Base Magnolia. Y’all try to behave till I log back on. Talking to YOU, Chip!
