Winston-Salem apartment robbed by 4 suspects; victim shoots in self-defense

DaVonté McKenith
Four people were arrested after breaking into a Winston-Salem apartment while armed with a gun.

It happened Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. That’s when Winston-Salem police officers responded to the shooting on the 700 block of Scholastic Court.

Upon arrival, police were told that the suspects left the area in a black Nissan Altima. Responding officers found the car and completed a traffic stop. Police say four suspects, identified as Reginald Williams; Leroy Streeter; Tamir Best; and Allen Little, were all located inside the car.

Officers at the apartment spoke with 38-year-old Cara Copeland, who told police three men entered the apartment and one had a gun. Copeland said she went into a back bedroom where Allen Wilson was located.

According to police, Wilson shot at the suspects in self-defense. The suspects then quickly ran out of the apartment.

Police say two of the suspects ran out of the front door and one jumped off the third-floor balcony.

Remember when Spike Lee suggested Charton Heston be shot with a .44 Bulldog?

I remember him trying to sue SPIKE TV for using his name without permission.

Tallywhagger

Tom Cruise, at 5’7″, towers over bully-rabbit Shelton Jackson Lee’s formidable 5’5″ frame.

Little “Spud” Lee would have needed a step ladder to look Heston in the eye if could even have attracted his attention. OTOH, seeking attention has been little “Spud’s” life calling.

More gud bois just trying to get a little choir robe money.

Atlanta must have some dumb people. Once again, trying to bring a knife to a gun fight.

David

The .44 Bulldog was the gun used to shoot 13 by the Son of Sam killer, David Berkowitz. Caused a lttle embarrassment at the time for the Lawrence, KS DA of the same name.

Had two Bulldogs. Grip frame cracked on the early production one was a solid reliable carry gun for years (until supplanted by a 6 shot .357.) Stout recoil with anything warmer than a a factory load.
