Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller Jr. pled guilty to all charges at a court-martial hearing

| October 14, 2021

Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller attended a court-martial hearing related to a video that he posted that went viral. In this video, he criticized military leaders as well as the way the withdrawal was conducted. He pled guilty to all of the charges, which are misdemeanor level charges. Stuart Scheller was released from the brig last week.

From Fox News:

The U.S. Marine who posted videos on social media criticizing military leadership and the Biden administration’s withdrawal of military assets from Afghanistan pled guilty to all charges during a court-martial hearing at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on Thursday.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. has pled guilty to all six misdemeanor-level charges, including willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, dereliction in the performance of duties and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

Scheller was freed from the brig last week where he was being held for violating an agreement to stop posting criticism on social media.

He was relieved of his command at one of Camp Lejeune’s infantry training battalions in August after posting the videos to Facebook and LinkedIn after a bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul took the lives of 13 U.S. service members as well as dozens of Afghan citizens.

Fox News has the rest of the story and a video here.

Hack Stone is just glad that someone is being punished for the disaster that took place during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The above comment was sarcasm for those who have not updated their Sarcasm Recognition Software.

Thanks for the disclaimer. I buy my sarcasm detector software from a proud but humble woman owned business, so it is painfully out of date.

You should have gone with the subscription plan. Each month a floppy disk will be deposited in your mailbox (the one without a door) to your Commodore 64 safe from miscreants.

He’s guilty and quite proud of it! Well, that charge of “conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman” could and will be debated for years.

He just Kool-Aid Man’d his way through their ambush, didn’t he?

Indirectly related to what LTC Scheller did:

While stationed at Schofield Barracks in 1993, word got around that Bill, Hillary and Chelsa were going to visit Hawaii and land at Hickham AFB.

Anyone else here that was stationed in Hawaii the same time?

There were LOTS of us who could not stand that Man, but kept our thoughts within ourselves because after all, he was suppose to be our “Commander In Chief”.

Turns out US Army Soldiers were not the only ones who did not care for him. Neither did some Airmen at Hickham. Some Sailors at Pearl Harbor. Some Marines at Kanohe. Some Purple Folks at Camp Smith.

Each Service was “ordered” to send some of their troops to Hickham to “greet” the Clintons (from CINCPAC) because they could not get enough “volunteers”. It became a huge joke.

Orders were obeyed…if a Service Member was ordered to go to Hickham, they did. Again, we all kept our mouths shut or negatively talked about the Clintons among ourselves. Getting an Article 15, Counseling Statements, Disobeying an order, etc. was just not worth it.

I think about 300 folks showed up at Hickham that dayy…and NOT all were 300 Service Members.

LTC Scheller thought what he did was correct in his thought process. We all have different standards/priciples on what we believe…and are willing to accept responsibilities and bear the consequences of our actions (a Jewish Carpenter and His followers as well as Nathan Hale set the examples for the ninja family…).

LTC Scheller accepted responsibility for his actions. He is a BETTER man than Joe Biden as well as Bill Clinton (“I Did Not Have Sex That Woman”) or the Obama Admin (Benghazi).

The ninja family wish him the best of luck for his and his family’s future…at least he did not get two Soldiers wounded and one killed…anyone here remember Bergdahl?

The Hildebeast graced us with her presence at NAS Brunswick, Maine, in 1992. The only folks who met her at AIR OPS that day were a handful of pole-smoking JOs.

I must have been on deployment for that occasion. Fortunately.

Ditto. Great comment.

Nailed it ninja! Spot on. Much respect for LTC Scheller. Would like to have a chance to vote for this Warrior in a National CinC election!

Similar incident with the Clinton Cartel in Zagreb, I think it was ’96. Had to order people to attend. Me? SGT D “volunteered” to pull a double shift in the TACSAT terminal in order to provide his Soldiers with the opportunity the see their commander-in-chief. I’m sure they’re both still pissed off about that.

I had already left Schofield Barracks (25th ID, 25th Dimension/Electric Banana) (615th Maintenance, “Service to the Lanai!”) by ’92.

Ok, who are purple folks? MWR? CIA? Contractors?

SFC D

Generally means the people working in a joint-service unit. “purple” refers to combined colors of the various branches. Assignment to a joint unit is sometimes referred to as “putting on the purple suit”.

Only goes to prove that LTC Scheller really is a stand-up guy(Semper Fidelis!) and as Ninja points outs – Wet-Willy Clinton and Benghazi-‘bama, not-so much… *shaking*my*head*in*utter*disgust* A hundred years from now, the odour and stain of Beau Bergdahl cowardice and the Administration’s apparent support of it, cannever be undone.

Interesting strategy, the evidence is overwhelming so by throwing himself on the mercy of the court he might keep the millions given to his legal defense fund. If he only gets a few years and a quick DD he might laugh all the way to the bank.

Now if we can just find those people that were responsible for that catastrophe. I am willing to bet they are hiding with those people who caused the financial meltdown in 2008. Cuz they never brought those sodomites to justice either.

Not the FIRST (ht 2 NdHoosier) time that Command got frustrated with a troop that spoke (in this case, wrote) his feelings on a screwup by the military. Private Newton B. Spencer of the 179th NY sent his opinion of the assault during the Battle of The Crater, Petersburg VA, July of 1864.

Here’s an abbreviated version here:

Too bad I can’t link to the article in the CWTI Magazine from 1989. It either can’t be found or I don’t have the skilz to find it. The find-a-grave link is no where near “…the rest of the story.”

IIRC, the BG in charge of the troops going into the Crater was a fellow named Ledlie, and he spent the time his troops were being slaughtered back in a bunker drinking rum.

Appears we have a lot of Ledlies these days.

Sorry, off the trail. Saw this on the news.

Marine Corporal, Duane Dewey, awarded the MoH for smothering a grenade blast during Korean War, dies at age 89.
