Carjacking suspects in Stafford stymied by manual transmission

Three men are jailed without bond after a carjacking attempt and police pursuit Tuesday in Stafford County.

At 4:51 p.m., deputies responded to the Anytime Fitness at 25 Tech Parkway in North Stafford after three men had attacked a gym patron in an attempt to steal his car.

Once on scene, deputies learned the suspects had approached the victim wielding a wooden stick and struck him several times in an attempt to steal his car.

The victim, trained in mixed martial arts, fought back against the attackers, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

One of the suspects was able to obtain the victim’s car key and attempted to steal the car. But the suspect was stymied by the manual transmission and “had no clue how to drive the car,” the release said.

Additional gym patrons rushed out and assisted in thwarting the robbery attempt. All three suspects were able to get back to their vehicle and flee the scene.

Deputies learned the suspects were driving a white Acura sedan with Mississippi license plates. Within minutes Sgt. R.K. Pinkard located the suspect vehicle on Garrisonville Road near I-95 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

Sheriff: Man, 28, Shot And Killed After Breaking Into
Valley Springs Home He Claimed Was His

Detectives are investigating after an intruder was shot and killed after he broke into a Valley Springs home and started attacking people inside.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office say Sunday’s deadly incident appears to stem from the suspect, 28-year-old Lennin Elizalde, wrongfully believing that he owned the home.

Deputies say the rightful homeowners had brought the 7000 block of Gabor Street property from a real estate company recently. However, during the moving process, the owners came home one day and found that someone had broken in through a side door – and Elizalde was inside.

Elizalde was the son of the previous owner of the home. He was ordered to leave after the new owners found him inside, but he refused until 911 was called.

The new owners say Elizalde threatened to return. Deputies later found and arrested Elizalde, who didn’t deny that he went into the home but claimed someone else had broken the door.

A deputy says Elizalde also told him that he believed he still owned the home and he intended to come back. This statement prompted the deputy to ask for a bail enhancement that would keep him in custody, but the sheriff’s office says the judge denied that enhancement.

Elizalde was soon released from custody on Saturday evening.

Early Sunday morning, deputies say Elizalde returned to the home. Witnesses say Elizalde kicked in the door and started attacking someone who was sleeping in the living room. During the chaos, deputies say one of the rightful occupants then shot Elizalde in self-defense.

Woman Gets $4.9 Million After Son Shot By Police; Now She’s Arrested For Allegedly Buying Guns For Other Son’s Gang

By Hank Berrien
A Madera, California, woman who received roughly $5 million from a settlement after police fatally shot her son was arrested after purchasing guns allegedly for another son and gang members.

Christina Lopez, 42, received $4.9 million last April following the 2017 death of her son, 16-year-old Isiah Murrietta-Golding.

Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp stated, “Clearly, this family has been seasoned in this type of behavior,” as ABC 30 noted. Smittcamp added, “She has continued now to take the money from her settlement that she received from the city of Fresno to buy a home where she lives in addition to spending thousands of dollars on guns that she has in turn given to her 14-year-old son.” ABC 30 stated, “Prosecutors say she bought guns and gave them to that son to distribute to gang members.”

Now that’s funny. Manual transmissions are fun to drive.
I can remember when all cars were “three on the tree” including some trucks.
Back in the 60’s I had a summer job driving a B-61 Mack dump with a quad box.

here is a good u-tube of one:

Manual transmissions…foiling car jackers for a generation or more now. Loves me a stick shift. Sold my 5 speed Supercharged ION Red Line back in the Spring, 143K miles and still running like a top. Still got the 6 speed Turbocharged Nismo, take him for a nice spin on a curvy country road at least once a week. Hope that K9 Officer Titan enjoyed his three (3) chew toys.

Just think, if the Judge had of went along with the more bail and kept him in jail, the dumbass perp may still be alive…or not. Darwin has his ways.

Mom of the year, indeed. Also a candidate for the Saturday “Dumb Crook News”.

Baby Bay Rhettas…gotta love ’em…or not.

I enjoyed a 4 on the floor more, personally.

You could play that transmission like a fine violin.

The reason the 16 year old was shot because he kept pulling his baggy pants up and the officer thought he was trying to get a gun out. The reason the police were chasing him was because the older brother was wanted for murder and younger brother was doing some minor illegal stuff so they thought he might squeal. So that mom is buying gunz for the older brother is really no surprise. The family that preys together stays together.

    • Graybeard says:

Yeah, real pillars of the community there.

There is a notorious branch of a family in our county who are often found in the police reports.

School children of the good branch of that family quickly tell you that they are not part of the other branch.

So did the “Mixed Martial Artist” get any good kits in? Or did they run as soon as he took their stick away?
Boy did they do a poor job of casing the place! Wrong car, wrong guy, wrong tools….wrong choices!!!

I’d like to see the mug shots of the Three Dumb-igos to see how badly they got their faces and asses handed to them.

      • Claw says:

There are mug shots in the linked article, but I’m guessing they might have been taken prior to this incident, as none of them look too beat up.

Anyway, the Whiz Wheel®™ spun up DAM scores on the Three Dumb-igos and they are:

        Jabez Clark – 136
        Korey Richardson – 112
Jacob Land – 84 (Who got a bonus ride to the ER for having a dog bitten ass)

Have to wonder how badly the millennial thief fucked up the manual transmission gearing trying to figure out that he don’t know how to operate it.
Sounds like a counter suit against the perps for repair of the transmission.
