Prince William County man shot to death by homeowner linked to multiple 7-Eleven armed robberies

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A Prince William County man who was shot to death by a homeowner when he approached her outside her house wearing a mask and wielding a handgun has been linked to multiple armed robberies in the area.

Investigators say a 44-year-old woman was armed and standing on her porch in the 4100 block of Hoffman Drive in Woodbridge when she was approached by 20-year-old Azhar Laurent Smart of Triangle, who was masked and holding a handgun.

Police recovered what they believe to be Smart’s gun at the scene.

With the help of federal law enforcement, investigators were able to determine that the same gun was used in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Woodbridge on July 16.

The lady who ventilated Azhar Smart did not have to say “Missed him by “that” much.”

Looks like neither one of these perps were very smart in their victim selection. And Azhar proved that a mask will not save you from something deadly. Aierkiese, she’s just not just that into you dude.

Claw Daddy, hadn’t seen a spin of the Old Whiz Wheel lately. Here’s some prime candidates. May want to add a DAM for these pillars of Society.

Don’t think that thar reach out and touch is quite the same as the Air Gun that Messrs Lewis and Clark carried on their little hike. Nor would it be the .17 that many of us used (and still use) for squirrels and sech during the days of our youth. Wonder if Bubba has one and how it would do on jukeboxes?

He just needs to segue back through the key changes to the original key and git’r’dun!

Sounds a lot like Randy Travis… too bad that Randy doesn’t sound like Randy, anymore.

Ah, Woodbridge. When you live in Stafford, just south of Quantico, you have to go north 30 minutes to woodbridge (on a good traffic day – of which there aren’t many) or south 30 minutes (same comment about traffic) to Fredericksburg to see a movie, go to a bookstore, do any serious shopping, etc. As a result, you spend a lot of time in both places when not on Route 610.

Had to chuckle when I heard about a criminal getting plugged up in Woodbridge (Prince William County is what caught my eye. Brought back some memories (not about whacking criminals there, however.)

“Prince William County man shot to death by homeowner linked to multiple 7-Eleven armed robberies”

Wait…..what?!
Was it the HOMEOWNER that was linked to the 7-11 robberies?
Once again, I’m putting on the Hail Mary “habit” and taking the writer of this horrendous headline to task. (where’s my heavy wooden ruler? where’s the headline writer’s knuckles?)

A minor re-write will hopefully clear up this conflating confusion.

“A homeowner shot to death a Prince William County man linked to multiple 7-Eleven robberies.”

There. Fixed it for ya. Yer welcome. Don’t let it happen again.
