Springfield Arms 911

Would-be robbers shot by armed shoppers in Los Angeles
Victim in Los Angeles was standing in a parking lot when the would-be robbers rolled in

By Emma Colton
A man armed with a handgun defended himself during an attempted robbery in Los Angeles, and left two suspects with bullet wounds to the legs, police say.

“Words were apparently exchanged, and the victim ultimately produces a handgun, apparently to defend himself and others in his group from the would-be robbery suspects. The victim fired his weapon towards the suspects and then all parties immediately fled the location,” the Los Angeles Police Department recounted in a press release Tuesday.

The attempted robbery unfolded Monday on Melrose Ave. when two men exited an idling Dodge Avenger, with one of the men producing a handgun.

E. Houston resident describes shooting with car thieves

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A resident east of downtown Houston exchanged gunfire overnight with a group of would-be car thieves.

It happened in the area of Nagle and Capitol Street and involved at least three men, the resident said.

The trio had broken into a car in the neighborhood when the resident said he got into his truck and confronted them.

“I start honking to tell him I know they’re breaking into that car,” the resident, who did not want to be identified, told ABC13. “At that point, they turn back and I did the same thing to light up the street. About half-way down the street, they pull out guns and start shooting.”

Another resident in the area also saw what was happening and had called police before the gunfire started, the resident said.

The resident said he pulled out his own gun and started shooting back.

No one “needs” those 30 round planet killing mags. Even when it’s 3v1 and at night.

Classic pic of Mr. Novak after a VERY bad day.

A trifecta of Citizens fighting back AND perps with very poor victim selection skilz. WW grins!

Still fighting with the insurance company of the drunk who tore hell out of the front yard of Firebase Magnolia last month. It was his 8th DUI.

If one just absolutely had to have a 9 mil, that thar Springfield 911 just may be the way to go. It is made of metal, (as God and His Most Saintly JMB intended), unlike a certain plasticized abomination. Did you take notice in the article how the 911 was compare to the 1911? Wonder if it floats?

Why choose anything but a HiPower?

Springfield 911, Sig 938 and Kimber Micro 9 seem to be the same gun.
I use Kimber 8 round magazines in my Sig 938 instead of the factory 7 rounders

I have a Sig 238. I was surprised at how accurate it is with such a short barrel and sight radius.

Speaking of gun control, I just read that the feds are going to create task forces to go after “gun traffickers,” but, according to USA Today, there is no federal legislation prohibiting it (total bunk), so they will have to rely on the law against lying on the questions on the 4473 form. Huh, maybe the Feebs could look at a fellow who is presently selling his paintings for a half a mil. Also, I saw Gropey Joe say on TV that the sole cause of the gun crime problem is that “gun shops” are illegally selling guns without a background check. He is having these task forces focusing on them. Somehow, I doubt any FFL holder in a retail shop is going to risk his livelihood by selling firearms without complying with the NFA and all its related statutes and regulations. So, I guess these ATF task forces are going to be harassing FFL gun dealers as their performance theater, instead of going after the criminals selling stolen guns out of car trunks. Maybe the DOJ can indict some FFL holders for the benefit of the MSM and the gun clueless who drink its Kool-aid.
