Tweet Offends Twits At Twitter

| July 20, 2021

I’m just going to leave this here. It is a brief interview, but to the point. The tweet he posted is included in the article. The usual “red flag warning” from Twitter is twaddle, but Twitter is a corporate entity that sets its own rules, as does Facebook.

Just don’t throw breakable things at your computer.

Army Vet posts Tweet and Twitter flags it.

Watched the entire video. DOOM on Twitter. Forever. May Twitter slowly drown in a lake of it’s own duplicitous excrement. Hand-salute and Thank you, Captain Brown.

I second that, may Twitter end up being as forgotten as MySpace.

BZ CPT Sam Brown. It is Heroes such as he that make the phonies so damn despicable. Kinda makes one want to move to Nevada so one could cast a vote for him.

Who will win the appointment as the Ministry of Truth Fakebook or Twatter? Only the DNC knows for sure. PHUQUE THEEEM….ALL OF THEEEM!

Veritas Omnia Vincit

People all over the world fighting and protesting their governments seeking individual freedoms always fly a particular flag….

It ain’t the UN flag, it ain’t any EU flag…it’s always the American flag.

If you have a couple extra bucks, send some love to him as he runs for Senator of Nevada.
Hopefully he can expunge the leftturds from the state representation both internally and in the swamp that DC remains…..
Everybody is mad that Trump didn’t go far enough, he couldn’t, he was totally outnumbered and the rino’s came out in full force for him, but he did a damn good job getting a boatload of Federal Judges appointed that are already paying significant dividends !!!

Captain Sam Brown, a REAL hero that put it all on the line for the rest of us and stands as a testament to the people that we all were honored to serve with !!!
Nothing fake about that guy !!!
Don’t even want to see the DD-214 on him, I’ll gladly believe anything he says about his tour into the shitholes that these same lefturds want America to become !!!

Get some Captain Brown !!!

^^Word^^

Since the Demonrats don’t want ID to vote, let’s head on over to Nevada and get him elected. I imagine on a good day I could vote thousands of times.

Poetrooper

Just tried to send him a donation and can’t get the site to accept my credit card. the card has a very high limit and I currently have little charged to it so I don’t know what the problem is.

Will try again tomorrow.

I think we veterans ought to get behind this courageous and very well-spoken young man and get him to the Senate.

Poetrooper

His campaign sent me an alternate web site and my donation went through this time.

Sorry to say this, but I am not sure what the kerfuffle is all about. The wording that the tweet contains is not blocked. What is blocked is the image of Captain Brown and the damage / wounds to his face. According to Twitter’s policies: People use Twitter to show what’s happening in the world, often sharing images and videos as part of the conversation. Sometimes, this media can depict sensitive topics, including violent and adult content. We recognize that some people may not want to be exposed to sensitive content, which is why we balance allowing people to share this type of media with helping people who want to avoid it to do so. For this reason, you can’t include violent, hateful, or adult content within areas that are highly visible on Twitter, including in live video, profile, header, or List banner images. If you share this content on Twitter, you need to mark your account as sensitive. Doing so places images and videos behind an interstitial (or warning message), that needs to be acknowledged before your media can be viewed. Using this feature means that people who don’t want to see sensitive media can avoid it, or make an informed decision before they choose to view it. Under this policy, there are also some types of sensitive media content that we don’t allow at all, because they have the potential to normalize violence and cause distress to those who view them. We group sensitive media content into the following categories: Graphic violence Graphic violence is any media that depicts death, violence, medical procedures, or serious physical injury in graphic detail. Some examples include, but are not limited to, depictions of: violent crimes or accidents; physical fights; physical child abuse; bodily fluids including blood, feces, semen etc.; serious physical harm, including visible wounds; and severely injured or mutilated animals. source: https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/media-policy Clearly Captain Brown’s image depicts “serious physical harm, including visible wounds.” If people want to see that image, all they have to do is to change the settings on their account. Done deal. I recognize that the cost… Read more »

Bull shyte. if child hunting by pedos and images of BLM burning shit down isn’t “offensive”, his image is not offenive.

Twitter’s policies are SELECTIVELY enforced.

Note that your assertion that this is “just following orders” is true, then by that definition Nancy Pelosi’s picture must also be banned.

Nice try, but as usual, you have missed the mark.

SFC D

Concur. By those standards, any tweet featuring a photo of a paralympian would be blocked, any amputee(with the probable exception of Tammy Duckworth)would be blocked, any scarred survivor of domestic violence would be blocked, and the death of George Floyd would be blocked. There’s a pattern here, see if you can find it.

gitarcarver

And yet twitter does block many of the things that you cite.

Twitter has not blocked the image, in case you missed it. What they did was followed their policies to allow uses to decide if they wanted to see such an image.

There’s a difference between complete “corporate censorship” and giving advisories on content.

gitarcarver

Twitter did put images of BLM burning things down behind the same tag. Sorry to burst your bubble that way.

I won’t defend your attack on Pelosi. I can’t stand the woman, but I won’t stoop to that level which has nothing to do with this.

Have a good day.

Poetrooper

Carver, you’re a smart guy with good insights who seems to enjoy the role of iconoclast here at TAH.

However, there are times when your insistence on being factually correct takes secondary place to the emotional component of the immediate situation, especially when it is one fraught with the emotions of those who have served regarding their wounded brethren.

11B-Mailclerk

Imagine what he endured, in service of -our- nation.

I think the rest of us can man up enough to look him in the eye.

We owe him that respect.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

My two cents…and it’s not worth much more than that.

While I recognize Twitter has the right to decide what it finds “sensitive” content I think it’s interesting they chose the photo as sensitive.

Sam Brown is a veteran running for office, he’s also a Republican. I’m not a fan of political parties, if you don’t know that about me now you do. That said I’m even less a fan of big tech companies desiring to hide behind the protection of section 230 yet still feel the need to censor content.

I don’t know if I would like Mr. Brown’s politics or not, but I sure as hell can respect his service and the personal sacrifice he made in that service to our nation.

Americans should see the result of the choices they make in elected officials. They should see the price these young men and women pay in service to the United States’ foreign policy goals.

And Big Tech shouldn’t hide it for fear of it being too “sensitive” for decent folk…decent folk voted for the Commanders in Chief who send these troops all over the world, decent folk put the Senators and Representatives in office who sign over their authority and abdicate their responsibility to the Executive Branch when it comes to where we send these young people.

Decent folk should see what happens when the people they elect choose to make war. Decent folk should see the cost of that not just in dollars not spent here at home, but in lives damaged and often forgotten in pursuit of foreign policy goals. Arlington Cemetery is full of reminders as to the cost of those foreign policy goals.

Poetrooper

“Decent folk should see what happens when the people they elect choose to make war. Decent folk should see the cost of that not just in dollars not spent here at home, but in lives damaged and often forgotten in pursuit of foreign policy goals.”

Which is precisely why I have always been opposed to the ‘Silent Veteran” who won’t speak of what they have experienced of the horrors of war. The argument that, “Folks shouldn’t have to hear about that stuff,” has always been bullshit in my view.

If more folks heard about it, saw it, gained a better understanding of the horrors of war, they might be somewhat less inclined to be so eagerly supportive of our governments ventures into foreign combat.

Too many horrifically wounded veterans retreat into seclusion fearing public revulsion at the sight of their wounds. For that reason, you really have to admire young Captain Sam Brown for having the courage to step up to the public forum in such an absolutely huge way.

11B-Mailclerk

Some folks don’t want to admit the debt, thus avoid any reminders.

As I said elsewhere, we owe him the respect of looking him in the eye.

Refusing to look him in the eye is disrespect, failing to pay a debt, and cowardice.

On a parallel topic, Black Rifle Coffee Co. says they were misquoted by the New York Slimes:

The last part of this article is good advice.

The Dead Man

Eeh, this isn’t the first time this allegation has come up and there’s still people that peeped the alleged owner and donations to Act Blue, Obama Campaign and Biden Campaign. I’m skeptical of both the article and them at this point.

Slow Joe

Not convinced.

It seems to me they went woke, and realized they would get broke, so damage control.
