New book says General Milley was worried about a Trump coup, it was a ‘Reichstag Moment’

| July 15, 2021

Before Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley was trying to learn about “white rage”, he allegedly was concerned President Trump would stage a coup after his defeat in the 2020 election. The book is from two “journalists” at the Washington Post (the far-left rag that isn’t even good as a fish wrap). Despite making many quotes from General Milley, some of which directly slander Trump supporters as “Nazis”, it seems like it’s all based on anonymous sources.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is also quoted in the book, which he has now publicly refuted. Milley has yet to refute the claims and his office said he would not be making public comments on the book. That would tend to lead a reasonable person to believe that this vitriolic hate and demonization is something he agrees with.

Among calling Trump supporters “Nazis”, Milley worried about the military being used to stage a coup, thought MAGA rally attendees were the “modern American equivalent of ‘brownshirts in the streets,'” compared the Proud Boys to Nazis, said that “We’re going to put a ring of steel around this city and the Nazis aren’t getting in” for Biden’s inauguration.

More chilling than those statements attributed to General Milley are his comments on the potential for a coup. “They may try, but they’re not going to f**king succeed,” Milley reportedly said. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with the guns.” That could be the single best response for why we have a Second Amendment. Remember that line. “We’re the guys with the guns” and they’re going to be hiding behind a “ring of steel”. Don’t go getting any ideas now.

Milley and company also allegedly discussed Trump using nuclear weapons after January 6. Use them on whom, they don’t say, but in the last couple of years prominent Democrats have suggested or implied that US nuclear weapons would be used on the American people should they rise up. Representative Swalwell (D-CA) in 2018 and just this year President Biden implied the same. So they’re not just the guys with guns, they’re the guys with guns, F-15’s, and nukes. Starting to sound like the fearmongering rhetoric employed by dictators, no?

Breitbart has the details from CNN’s reporting on an advance copy.

According to reports the book ends with Milley telling former First Lady Michelle Obama that nobody has a bigger smile on his face than him while at Biden’s inauguration.

“…We’re the guys with the guns…” and declined to refute?
I’m starting to think this guy is planing to cross the Rubicon himself, unless the current Potato in Chief and/or his handlers have kompromat on Dur General, say something in the Little Saint James-type. But I know even less than nothing.
At this point anyone that wasn’t cut, ostracized, impeached, or relieved by the Occupiers is a suspect.

    According to the link below:

10 U.S. Code § 1253: Mandatory retirement age for general and flag officers is age 64.

Officers in O9 and O10 positions may have retirement deferred until age 66 by the SECDEF or until age 68 by the President.

Gonna be interesting to see how much longer he lasts.

It’s times such as this with Leadership under current and former General Officers that make me happy I have my final DD214:

Wasn’t the first choice to be chairman to succeed Gen Dunford. Former SecDef Mattis reportedly planned to recommend Air Force chief Gen Goldfein as CJCS. Milley made damn sure he went on a full court press to ingratiate himself to Trump…and move to the top of the list for chairman. Yeah, Trump has serious buyers remorse on the shapeshifting weasel.

Makes you wonder how things will go if the audits prove fraud. Will he support a coup then?

    • Mason says:

Trump found out the hard way that his advisors were not giving good advice on who to pick for many of the top posts. The self-fulfilling bureaucracy was more than he was expecting I fear.

    • MI Ranger says:

It is strange how they change. I knew Millie pretty well when he was a BG, and he did not seem this way at all. But after his third and fourth star he became a different leader. I guess when it is no longer about the troops and it is all about politics…they stop thinking about what is right and wrong and only about how to hold on to power!

Makes you wonder what will happen if the audits prove fraud. Will he oppose with his ring of steel?

If Milley is looking for Nazis, may I suggest he take a trip to Portland? He can arrive by parachute, if he so chooses.

Tell Gen. ‘Sugar Tits’ Milley that he missed the two Democrat coup attempts while Trump was President.

  14. SgtBob says:

Miley says a successful coup is impossible without the CIA, the FBI and the military. Biden is the CIC, but a president’s hold on the military is dependent on his legal and moral obligations under the Constitution. Biden has the CIA and the FBI, and if Miley and his fellow travelers have their way, this sitting president will have an ultra-constitutional hold on the military forces. If anyone ever wondered why so many Southern officers left the US Army in 1861, Biden and his followers provide an answer.

    • Jay says:

Pretty sure I read or heard somewhere about “learning from our history or being doomed to repeat it…”

    • CDR D says:

I believe the Biden “administration” IS a coup. And all those agencies, including the upper echelons of the uniformed services helped facilitate it.

    • Poetrooper says:

Milley may think a coup is impossible without the CIA, the FBI and the military, but someone needs to tell him that a revolution isn’t.

In fact, in any conflict to eliminate rule by entrenched bureaucracy to restore this nation to its proper constitutional path, both the CIA and FBI would be primary targets. With the military, determining friend from foe would be more problematic, but the “woke” leadership would most definitely be purged.

Mason is on the wrong side of the issue, the wrong side of the argument, and the wrong side of basic common sense.

All because he has joined a cult and has decided anyone that criticizes his deal leader is the enemy and must be discredited.

I thought I learned a great deal about how conservatives think over the last 7 years here…

But the last 7 months has been astonishing. Conservatives are willi mg to betray their country on the word of a career narcissistic con artist. They will choose to believe whatever it takes to justify their support despite the evidence. They will attack democracy itself to install a despot. And they will attack anyone who disagrees with their despot.

All that they claim about supporting law enforcement, supporting the constitution, supporting rule of law, and “elections have consequences”… has been thrown out.

Mason and is a propagandist supporting the lies of people trying to overthrow our election because some narcissistic ass clown grifter refuses to accept that he lost and wants to be installed as a dictator.

    It is absolutely disgusting.

    Traitors. collaborators, and propagandists.
