Boomer’s Sunday

Not endorsing any product, more of a Matt Best video.

It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I cull through his weekly offering of ‘toons, and pick the best. Honorable Mention goes to my pals Chuck, Gerhart, Woke Infidel, AW1 Scott, AW1 Rod, and our own OAM, ARC-TI, President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman, Cameron, Skippy, HMCS(FMF) ret, Poetrooper, Mason, Jeff LPH 3 63-66, thebesig, Keepin’ It Real, and Ex, who also have provided some entertainment. These are mostly from the right, with humor scattered around. I am more than willing to post up differing points of view if they don’t annoy me. Now what could be fairer than that? So here we are, with the ‘toons that may amuse, make you think, or just piss you off.

I would like to answer the question of why statues, Christians, police and the military are targets of the left.

If you think about it is really simple. It is a form of misguided bravery, or cowardice.

They target things that can’t and don’t fight back. Christians don’t have an anti-defamation league – open season. Muslims have CAIR, blacks have NAACP – so they dare not say anything. Conversely, police and military are public servants – targets. When I say “military” I mean upper brass or the military as a whole. Somewhere along the line, it fell out of favor to target an individual service member.

Other things are symbolic – such as statues, pronouns, historical figures.

Other things are abstract – Russian influence, white supremacy, racism, and the religious oppression of using the term “Christmas.” These things are just as hard to prove do not exist as they are to prove exists. One can only point to anecdotal evidence to string together a narrative. The passion to fight against these targets becomes very strong. Sniping anonymously from the shadows is also becoming popular. “Trending” on Twitter is sometimes the goal.

I believe that these types of battles give people a false sense of bravery to fight something that cannot fight back. Most people don’t really care that much and roll over to some degree – i.e. use of Happy Holidays vs. Christmas, stamping BLM all over their business, and denouncing Extremism.

Although not absolutely perfect, if you focus on this theory you will see a lot of what is happening fall perfectly into alignment with it.

So does that mean I upgraded my phone for free with 5G since I got the “Vaccine”? Can I ditch the phone and just send my thoughts to others via 5G, or is it receive only?
