Whistleblower tells Sen Cotton and Rep Crenshaw that a gigantic BLM flag was allowed to fly over a US naval base in Africa

| June 15, 2021

Poe sends in word that the whistleblower system Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) have set up has started to receive complaints. One of those concerns an enormous BLM flag (and numerous other BLM clothing items) being expressly permitted by a naval installation commander at a deployed base in Africa.

From the Breitbart article on the topic, here’s the whistleblower’s complaint (lack of carriage returns is in the original);

In the barracks area of the installation, a massive BLM flag had been hung from the third story of the barracks, draping over both the second and first rows under it. The flag was probably fifty feet long, by fifteen feet wide. In addition to this, there were many service members that were wearing BLM t-shirts that sported additional BLM slogans, doo rags, and hats, all with BLM plastered on them. I am opposed to the BLM movement for many reasons, and seeing a constant reminder of this group daily, was offensive and distracting to me, especially in a combat zone. I also feel that it is a very politically driven and polarizing group, that has no business being advertised on a military base. There were also multiple people that I worked with, that felt the same way as I did about the group. I asked an individual that had influence on the base and with the base commander, why this was being allowed. He said it was the view of the commander that this movement was not political, and non-partisan, therefore, he had no issue with its advertisement. I asked him then if it would be ok if a hung a massive make America great again trump 2020 flag, and wore hats and memorabilia for the MAGA movement. He told me that would not be allowed, as that would be a very political statement, and cause a lot of offense to some people. I told him this seemed very one sided and hypocritical, and he said it was the commanders [sic] decision, and not his. I share this because I don’t think it was right then, or now, that there is such a double standard, when it comes to these issues. I felt powerless to affect any change, and just had to try and let it go and deal with it everyday.

This is but one of 30 complaints they’ve logged. More are shared in the article linked above.

It’s been proven time and time again that the BLM minions don’t care about anything other than trashing, looting and burning whatever is in their path. I’m sure that CO was doing whatever he saw as PC enough to get him some brownie points!

Are we tracking yet? A generation of brain dead college indoctrinated commissars has begun taking over in the military.

This is going to get worse every year before it can get better.

Banging neurotics is its own punishment. (Stick to strippers with fake tits and Daddy issues– the ones raised by psychotics tend to be hawt– if you dig crazy chicks.)

The only Flag that showed be flying/displayed on a US Military Base is the American Flag and the Host Country’s Flag. Period! And, yes, to me, this whole BLM thing is highly offensive, creates division, and is detrimental to good order and discipline. Just reading the “Manifesto” of what the stated purpose of the BLM Movement will give you an idea that they are a “Clear and Present Danger” to the ideals of the Constitution of these United States and have absolutely NO PLACE in the US Military.

We need not concern ourselves with a defeat by an armed enemy. Our own leaders will just hand over (read SELLOUT) our Republic to them.

I don’t know if this is still current events there at that base. If it is I’m thinking an installation C O is about to get lit up a bit given the congressional interest in it.

Might as well raise the white flag. We done lost the War of Ideas.
It’s was good knowin ya, America

Oh the irony.

I mean, if there’s one place in the world where Black Lives clearly DON’T “matter”, it’s in Africa.

This may stir up some opposition on this site but I also do not like to see the POW/MIA flag flying with the U.S. flag. Nothing against the sentiment of that flag, mind you, I just think a line should be drawn where the Stars and Stripes is sacrosanct.

^THIS!
Once doors are opened, the prevailing winds may change and the destination could be perverse.

I concur. Not only is the intention of the POW flag questionable*, it opened the door for this kind of nonsense.

Now every whiny titty baby with a chip on his shoulder is going to want his own “flag” to fly at military installations.

(WRT the POW flag, I agree with the late Col. Hackworth that the POW flag has been used by those who want to re-fight the Vietnam war or stoke anger and hatred at Vietnam, and by those who assert – with ZERO credibility – that the US military knowingly left prisoners in enemy hands after the war which, IMO, is a huge slander on the honor of the military. So I’m not a fan of the POW flag and I don’t like seeing it flown at government buildings.)

Ooops, sorry, didn’t intend to hit the report comment.

The CO of Camp Lemonnier must not have gotten the memo about holding mandatory training about extremism in the ranks, or insider threats.

COB Speicher, early 2009. Obama has just been sworn in. I go to the gym, and on the wall where the official portraits of everyone from the Garrison Commander to the President are, one is missing. In its place is an 8 foot tall mural of Obama.
My LT (a very liberal democrat, very black, prior-service SFC/drill sergeant) completely lost his shit that they had the audacity to put that mural up I casually mention it to the Speicher “Mayor” the next morning at the weekly COMMS meeting. It was gone in 2 hours. If you see something, say something. No Organization, group, or individual gets special treatment.

Images, trophy-pic’s, a Ewe-tube video even? *shrug* With no photographic evidence presented to support this supposed ‘flag-plant/flag-flying’, it never happened. Just more nonsensical 3B(blah, blah, blah) from the resident feeble-minded twots. Testimonia recito(produce the evidence) or shut the fuck up! BFG’s..

Welcome back, Commissar!
