Springfield Police K9 Alcatraz finds breaking & entering suspect under car

Nick DeGray
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into the McDonalds on Main Street Sunday morning.

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers receive information that the McDonalds was broken into around 5 a.m. Sunday morning. When they arrived, they learned the suspect, 47-year-old Jose Robles of Springfield, allegedly broke some glass to get in and stole several items. Police spotted Robles on Girard Avenue shortly after but lost sight of him after he ran away. However, some of his belongings were found.

The Springfield Police K9 Unit of Officer Horne and K9 Alcatraz were called in to assist in finding Robles. Alcatraz was able to track and find him under a parked car on Marion Street around 9:35 a.m. and arrested him.

Great name for a K9. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.

Really? Breaking into a McDee’s? An act of desperation. Have you no class? No standards? With a name like Jose Robles, not even worth a spin on The Whiz Wheel. Mr Robles will be getting his fill of Special Sauce soon enough as the newest employee of the BTJT Prison Deli.

The judge told him “You deserve a breaking and entering charge today.”

Took my first Moose with a No. 1 in 7mm Magnum.
Head shot on a large cow. Dropped where she stood.
Lottery is 12 JUN this year. I’m due.
Last Moose was with a .444 Marlin. Not impressed.
Tried to break down the front quarter and save the rack.
Ran about 100 meters and bled out. Nice rack though.
Maybe the Savage 99E in .308 this year should I be so lucky.
Of course none of these guns are mine….I just borrow them.
Mine were all lost in a fire.

Love my Ruger No. 1 in .30-06. It’s beautiful and elegant, but its recoil is not for the timid shooter. But who notices recoil in the field, anyway?

Many whitetails have fallen to it, but I never drew a moose permit my entire time in Maine, unfortunately.

Recoil is “after” the fact.

I’ve been drawn three times and subbed twice.
Same partner each time. We have a pact.

It’s good for you. Builds character and strong moral fiber.

Article claims the #1 may be the most beautiful production rifle… love me a Sharps but almost any Savage 99 hits the list too. I yearn for the days when aesthetics were almost as important as functionality. Ain’t no pretty AR.

I don’t know about that. I have a S&W M&P-10 in Realtree camo that’s pretty sharp looking!

Good Doggy, K9 Alcatraz. Would you like fries with your T-Bone Steak? Here you go Boy, have a biscuit.

Too bad we can’t put fine outstanding citizens like Mr. Robles IN Alcatraz…either the prison OR as a Happy Meal for K9 Alcatraz. I’m sure that K9 Officer Alcatraz had to lick hizz azz after biting a perp like that.

Hey ‘beans…there was a nice rack depicted in Sunday’s FGS…Oh wait…you meant antlers? Never mind. And, yep, btw, them Rugers are nice shooting irons but they are neither fireproof, nor do they float.

Provision run to the K Roger Store. Laying on the excess supplies for the upcoming Family Re-union for this weekend. Betcha ninja can give a synopsis of the menu. All of the miscreanted d’weeds and the Adorable Deplorables are invited. Bring yore appetite, they’ll be a gracious plenty. Y’all try to be behaving yoreselves while I’m gone.
