Report Claims CIA’s Fake Vaccination Program to Get to OBL Now Impacts Vaccine Drop-Off in Pakistan
A new study says that Pakistani mistrust of vaccinations stems from the CIA’s fake vaccination program designed to smoke out Osama Bin Laden.

Declining vaccination rates in Pakistan have been linked to operations undertaken by the Central Intelligence Agency in 2011 to try to locate Osama bin Laden.
A new study in the Journal of the European Economic Association, which is published by the Oxford University Press, argues that Pakistani distrust in vaccines can be tied directly to a CIA-led ruse in 2011 that used a vaccine clinic as a cover for agents to try to gather information on bin Laden’s location.
During the ruse, CIA agents worked with a local doctor to launch an immunization plan in Pakistan. Their intention was to steal DNA samples from children living in an Abbottabad compound they believed housed the man behind the 9/11 terror attacks.
The agents reasoned that the presence of close relatives of bin Laden in the compound would likely indicate he was there as well.
The doctor used by the CIA began administering hepatitis B vaccines despite having no authorization from Pakistan’s health authorities to do so.
Reporting by The Guardian revealed the operation shortly after US special forces units killed bin Laden in 2011.
After the operation was uncovered, the Taliban increased its propaganda efforts to undermine vaccines.
One could argue that Bin Laden got vaccinated to flush all the desire to commit terrorism out of him. Now he’s filling a useful role of feeding the fishes.
But, as to the Pakistani’s – I can see them not being eager to get in a line for vaccinations. I wonder if the CIA has to run their plans through the lawyers? They probably didn’t see this one coming.

Ideas have consequences…
During the Obama Administration, the United States sent over $600,000,000 in foreign aid to Pakistan every year. Not only were the allowing a terrorist to hide in plain sight within their territory, they jailed the Doctor who assisted the CIA, no thanks to President Obama bragging how intelligent he is by disclosing how OBL was located. Can’t think of any reason that someone in one of those shithole countries would want to assist us if we throw them under the Amphibious Assault Vehicle once they are done assisting us. On the plus side, this could be a diabolical plot to thin the herd of up and coming terrorists, but Obama/Biden are not that clever.
This report is total bullshit. If the Paki populace is that stupid, they deserve to suffer the consequences. These inbred honor killing cretins are too numerous as it is.

The second and third order consequences are mandatory considerations for any operational plan. It is readily apparent that no one did so here. If it was an isolated instance…but…it isn’t.

I’m personally convinced that elements within Pakistan – some with government connections, and I’d bet long odds having at a minimum “nod-and-wink” approval from the Pakistani government – knew full well OBL was there and were assisting him. Hell, I’d be absolutely shocked to find that the Pakistani government itself was ignorant of his presence. And I wouldn’t be surprised to find that some elements within the Pakistani government were actively assisting OBL.
As Hack Stone notes, this occurred while we were sending Pakistan bucks by the boatload on an annual basis in aid. Since the Pakistani government wasn’t actively assisting us in finding the bastard, I don’t have any problem with us using clandestine means within their territory to find OBL so we could “come and have a chat”.
My only complaint is that we didn’t exfil the doctor and his family immediately afterwards – well before making the operation public.
