Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 875 West Little York Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 875 West Little York Road about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 4).
The suspect, Trent Donta Jefferson (b/m, 27), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 263rd State District Court.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Grahmann reported:

The victim was at his residence when his stepson, Jefferson, arrived to pick up his brother. Jefferson and his step-father got into a verbal argument which led to Jefferson producing a pistol. The step-father also produced a pistol and both men exchanged gunfire. Jefferson suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm and the step-father was not injured.

One Of Two Men Shot After Forcing Way Into Area Home, Beat Residents, Police Say

One of two men was shot after the duo allegedly forced their way into a home to confront the resident about a previous altercation.

Andre Fogo, age 32, and Rachain Wilson, age 28, both from the village of Monticello, were arrested on Friday, April 2, after New York State Police responded to a report of a shooting in Monticello, said Trooper Steven Nevel.

When troopers arrived on the scene they found that the victim, later identified as Wilson, had been driven to Garnet Health Medical Center in Catskill, for treatment of the gunshot wound, Nevel said.

    Being a “step-father” can be tough duty. Prolly not the FIRST time there has been a problem there. We could comment a million times on that.

    Wilson is a victim of teh stoopid, but I doubt if the hot lead injection will totally cure THAT illness. Now, if it was a terminal dose of hot lead….

    Now isn’t that just the most darling little stubby, snubby Ruger. Make a real nice back pocket piece.

    If I got the grubermint that I deserve, where is all of my free sh^t?

        Three inch barrels are optimum for a .38 or .357. But you want one with a hammer so you can shoot it single action for accuracy. I have a Smith & Wesson Model 60 with a three inch heavy barrel that is quite accurate, even with +P rounds.
