CHL-holder defends self and two kids from road-rage maniac

by Chad D. Baus
WTVG (ABC Toledo) reported recently that an Ohio concealed handgun license (CHL) -holder was forced to use his gun to defend himself and his two children during a road rage incident.

From the article:

Police responded to a shots-fired call in the 5200 block of Monroe St. around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officers located a scene there, and other officers were sent to a location just across the state line in Michigan, where one of the involved vehicles was parked.

Witnesses told police they saw a Black male exit a white Chevy Malibu or Impala and begin firing at a dark-colored sedan on Monroe. Two other witnesses stated they saw the driver of the dark-colored sedan begin firing back.

According to police, the owner of the dark-colored sedan, Justin Langlois, 25, reported that he was involved in a road rage incident with another unknown individual who cut off Langlois in his car and began firing a gun. Langlois, who had his two young children, aged 4 and 2, in the car with him, drew his firearm, for which he is licensed to carry, and began returning fire.

DCSO K-9 Ezel’s bite helps catch suspect after chase, manhunt south of Bend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – An attempted traffic stop south of Bend Wednesday of a car with expired registration stickers led to a pursuit, manhunt and the arrest of a hiding suspect after he was bitten by a Deschutes County sheriff’s K-9, deputies said.

Deputies were in the area of China Hat Road around 4:30 p.m. when one spotted a Honda Accord heading south near milepost 1 with the expired stickers, Sgt. Jayson Janes said. Rather than stop, the driver sped up to get away, he said.

The deputy pursued the driver until he turned onto a dirt power line road, Janes said. The car soon was found abandoned and still running.

Deputies believed it belonged to a 42-year-old Bend man, based on prior contacts. Janes said they also had information he’d been involved in two earlier disputes, displaying a weapon in one of them.

Deputies quickly set up a perimeter and called in K-9 Ezel and partner, Deputy Jeremiah Johnson, to the abandoned car, Janes said.

Not just a ‘Good Boy, Ezel!’ story, there’s Deputy Jeremiah Johnson too which puts this FGS over the top. Read the entire article here: KTVZ.com

This ‘incidental’ story just may be an indicator of a much deeper canine conspiracy. A subsequent investigation into this may quite possibly prove that Biden’s dog(Major) actually put Ezel up to this! Seriously – many kudos’ to Deputy Jeremiah Johnson – job well done.

P.S. please don’t Ezel me, Bro!!

Some people think that they are not only owed a living by others, they also think they are owed the right to have the road to themselves. Gun control means hitting the target (individual).

Let’s buy a steak dinner for Ezel AND Deputy Jeremiah Johnson. Hey didn’t ol’ Jeremiah used to be a Mountain Man? Or a TV Star?

Gots to lub a nice lever action. Do we owe Thanks to Mr. Henry for helping to perfect the design, or to Mrs. Winchester’s political connections for continuing that work?

See y’all sometime later, another busy day planned and into the evening. Hey Mi’Lady Ex, Imma planning on grilling up some porked beast chops for my crew today/evening. Any suggestions for how to do it? I reckon I can muddle my way thru it. Some tater salad will be a side. Tox don’t drink all the cold beers, them boys have a powerful thirst after a long day.

I second the motion to buy a steak dinner for Deputy Johnson and Ezel(bone-in for for Ezel’s desert!). Think equal kudos are due to Henry and Winchester… Pork beast chops with a big side of tater salad? Don’t think you’ll need to fuss too much with that – a hungry crowd is usually thrilled with almost anything grilled. Beer(of course!) is absolutely mandatory…

I read that Jeremiah Johnson was probably the country’s most successful cannibal. After killing those Crows, he cit out and ate their livers. Robert Redford indeed.

Perfecting design? Gotta tip the Hatlo hat to John Mahlon Marlin for that.

Talk about Crows: Awhile ago in Boston, A large number of crows were killed by tractor trailers, and it turns out that crows warn each other when vehicles are coming their way when the crows are in the roadway eating so they can’t say truck, they only can say CAW.

My 94 Winchester cost me $80 + bucks back around 1967. Bought it at a gas station in upstate NY.
