Defiant cashier, customer foil armed robbery attempt of Bay City party store

BAY CITY, MI — An armed robbery of a Bay City party store was foiled by a defiant clerk and a vigilant customer, police are saying. And though the alleged would-be robber left empty-handed, he has since acquired two felony charges, one of which is a life offense.Shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, police responded to the CB Discount at 1500 Broadway St. in the city’s South End for an armed robbery that had just occurred. While officers were en route, a woman called 911 to say she was following the suspect on foot near Broadway and 32nd streets, according to police reports in court records.
Police went to where the woman directed them and they stopped 18-year-old Spencer A. Krause of Essexville, who was wearing clothes that matched those worn by the suspect. Police arrested Krause and found a .45 compact airsoft gun on the ground near him, reports state.
Back at CB Discount, the 43-year-old female clerk told officers a man had entered the store, pulled a gun, pointed it at her, and demanded money.

Elderly Asian Woman Sends Attacker to Hospital After Defending Herself With a Stick

An elderly Asian woman was attacked in San Francisco on Wednesday, but instead of running away, she fought back by hitting her attacker with a stick.During an interview with local television station KPIX 5, the woman, Xiao Zhen Xie, 76, addressed the attack with her daughter, Dong-Mei Li, speaking on her behalf.
“Very traumatized, very scared and this eye is still bleeding,” Li said. “The right eye still cannot see anything and is still bleeding and we have something to absorb the bleeding.”
Xie noted she was waiting at the traffic light at Market Street and Charles J. Brenham Place near McAllister Street around 10:30 a.m., when a man punched her in the face by her left eye.
Although Xie acknowledged that she was rattled by the attack, her immediate response was to fight back with a stick she found near the area.

If you search the internet you can find a picture of the pansy that got his ass handed to him by his 76 year old victim. The story I read yesterday indicated he was beaten bad enough to be sent to the hospital by ambulance. The picture showed him strapped to the gurney apparently crying and bleeding from more than one place in his face. His victim was still holding the piece of wood and she was PISSED yelling at him. Unfortunately the family says she is now terrified to go out in public because of this.
I chuckle whenever I read that the perp had his ass (and face) handed to him by a short, old, Asian woman.
As for being fearful of going back out in public, give the woman a stout wood or aluminum walking cane, that should ease her fears. (oh, and a license to defend/use/carry said stick wouldn’t hurt, even if the paper is fake)
I’ll bet dollar to doughnut that once she does go back out in public, she’ll find that she is a minor celebrity, there will be many strangers that will respectfully greet and congratulate her on her actions.
