ECSO: Homeowner shot one of two suspects Thursday who tried to invade Pensacola home

Colin Warren-Hicks
A Pensacola homeowner shot one of two suspects Thursday morning during an attempted home invasion, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities had not released the names of the suspects as of 11 a.m. Thursday.

ECSO spokeswoman Amber Southard told the News Journal the incident occurred at about 4 a.m. at a residence in the 7300 block of West Jackson Street when two suspects attempted to break into a home.

The suspects’ plans were thwarted by a homeowner who shot one of the suspects, Southard said. Both suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, but crashed their vehicle not far from the home.

Do not confuse them with the facts, for their minds are made up as to what the facts are as they see them.

Good on Ms Thang for causing at least one (1) of the dirtbags to be suffering from a gunshot wound. I hope he continues to suffer, and his partner in crime too. Here’s to them catching the cat they gave them a ride to the hospital and charging them with aiding and abetting.

Ahh the Model 29…The original modern day wheeled gunz Hand Cannon! fapfapfapfapfapfap!

I still have my old S&W mdl. 10, .38 with fixed sites which out-shoots for accuracy my Glock 23 and Beretta 92.

Seriously, that mdl. 10 is a great shooting weapon…smooth as silk!! lol

Smitty

For years that was the FBI issue weapon.

Great pistol. I used to have the heavy barrel Model 13. It was the most accurate wheel gun I have owned. Made the mistake of giving it to my son.

Being that this is the .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world…

Personally, I feel an apology is a sign of character.

Except when some charmed community organizer goes about the world shaming himself and our country over his own specious contention of just or unjust, right or wrong, fact from fiction or just doing the devil’s work.

OTOH, it could be argued that Obama showed his true character, his entire life, so far.

I agree, but when writing my comment I wasn’t thinking of the scumbags in this world like my governor (Cuomo) and the “charmed community organizers” you mentioned above…I was thinking of the quality people that visit and comment herein.

Amen, there are a lot of very decent members of this community. Probably more than 99%, maybe even more!

Also agree with your assessment of the Model 10, a straight shooter, smooth as silk, and a pleasure to take to the range.

Have not fired the .44 in a while. The 240 grain is nice to shoot
but the 180 grain hurts. I’m guessing it is the added mass of
the 240 grain absorbing energy where the 180 grain leaves a
lot behind in the form of kick. Anyone else notice that?
I really do not like the 180 grain for that reason alone.

Never fired a model 29. Just Rugers in .44 mag.
