I just wanted to remind everyone that we still have people over there in the Middle East, and hope and pray it does not turn into another major conflict, considering everything that has happened recently on this side of the pond.

From the article:  BAGHDAD — At least 10 rockets targeted a military base in western Iraq that hosts U.S.-led coalition troops on Wednesday, the coalition and the Iraqi military said. It was not immediately known if there were any casualties.

The rockets struck Ain al-Asad airbase in Anbar province at 7:20 a.m., spokesman Col. Wayne Marotto said.

Later, the Iraqi military released a statement saying the attack did not cause significant losses and that security forces had found the launch pad used for the missiles. An Iraqi military official said they had been found in the al-Baghdadi area of Anbar, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not permitted to brief media.

It was the first attack since the U.S. struck Iran-aligned militia targets along the Iraq-Syria border last week that killed one militiaman, stoking fears of a possible repeat of a series of tit-for-tat attacks that escalated last year, culminating in the U.S.-directed drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassim Soleimani outside the Baghdad airport. – article

Just because we’re relatively safe here at home, it does not mean that others are not in a dangerous place. Please keep our people in the line of fire on your minds.

Where was John Kerry, what did he know and when did he know it?

Sheesh, O’Biden will botch this just like every foreign policy issue he has ever sullied.

I’m keeping an eye on this, just to find out what direction it will take.

And yes, I agree with you: both sKerry and Bide4n will likely make a mess of this and make things worse.

Remember, that air strike on Syria a short while back was done without Veep Harris’s knowledge. She was NOT in the room when it happened.

The bad guys know we are essentially leaderless.

  3. Berliner says:

President Teleprompter’s administration revealed on 60 minutes that the US monitored Iran’s purchasing of commercial satellite photos of the Al Asad airbase in Iraq.

This attack was in retaliation for President Trump enabling Iranian Gen Qassem Soleimani to meet and frolic with his 72 transgender virgins.

Following the last purchase of the day, the US cleared the airbase and moved troops to shelters. Now that this is out there, I doubt if the US will have success in defending troops again.

    • KoB says:

Gnrl Soleimani was unavailable for comment. We understand he was really smoking over the attack on him and his pieces loving staff members.

Still waiting on somebody to ‘splain to me how we, or anyone else, can keep those people from killing one another. They’ve only been doing it for what, nearly 1400 some odd years? (or longer) One way to make sure we don’t have any American casualties is to GTFO!

al-Baghdadi has always been one of the most openly hostile places to US forces in Iraq. Nothing but death stares when you drove through there. Seems unlikely they were getting satellite photos from Iran. They don’t really need them. The base has been there for nearly 18 years now. Everyone knows where everything is.

  5. I have a feeling that the Fuhrer is being tested by the iranis and their cohorts. The military brass doesn’t want us out of these places because if the Troops come home, their stocks in the armament industry goes down.

It will heat up right quick. One of the few things the social dems do well is get us into wars. The vast majority of our wars have been started by social dems for various reasons. Along with various acts of unnecessary aggression, like the attack on Yugoslavia.
