Escambia County homeowner holds two burglary suspects at gunpoint

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — Two burglary suspects are arrested after deputies responded to a burglary in Escambia County Thursday and found a homeowner holding them at gunpoint.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) arrested Jonathan David Franklin, 28, and 32-year-old Steven Cody Liechty.

According to ECSO, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at the 4200 block of Molino Rd. Two deputies arrived on scene to find the homeowner holding Franklin and Liechty at gunpoint.

The homeowner told deputies when he got home that evening, he saw a strange vehicle parked down the road and found the two suspects walking around his property.

Deputies say a search of the car revealed two guns and stolen items that were taken from vehicles in previous car burglaries in the same area. Franklin was also caught trying to rid of a bag of methamphetamine in the back of a patrol car.

BZ to this young man in defending hearth, home, and Grandpa(?). Fight back.

Coupla real winners (weiners) in the meth heads from Flu-ruh-duh. BZ to the homeowner in gathering up the trash. Neighborhood beautification program seems to be working.

Speaking of a coupla winners, those flotation devices that Ms Thang is sporting has won my heart. I’ll be her Valentine Huckleberry. In my next lifetime I wouldn’t mind being a pair of her Daisy Dukes.

I keep waitin’ on somebody usin’ their plinker to bring us a mess of squirrels for the dumplin’ pot. Trixie Girl and Lil’ Chapman keeps most of the ones here at Firebase Magnolia chased outside the wire.

I appreciate the run of .22 pistol pictures. All of the pistols your featured are popular for NRA Bullseye competition. Keep ’em coming.

How about some fine period percussion pistolas? There is no shortage of a variety of those. There is also a panoply of cavalry carbines, as well.
