Chatter on, Joe. Chatter on.

| January 17, 2021

Joe Manchin’s undies are in a bunch. Since he couldn’t get the 25th amendment to oust Trump from the Oval Office, now he’s going to try a different route? Is he even vaguely aware that January 21st is this coming Thursday?  How dimwittedly desperate can somebody be? The problem is that VP Pence wouldn’t agree to any of it, which must have just curdled Manchin’s cottage cheese. But then, Joe can really be quite cheesy himself at times, and this is one of them.

So much time and energy wasted on something so trivial….

https://www.westernjournal.com/failed-attempt-oust-trump-25th-amendment-dem-senator-says-now-looking-14th-boot-gop-lawmakers/

From the article:  Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia said he is open to removing Republican senators who objected to the Electoral College vote last week.

Republicans were objecting to the results of several states when the protest taking place on the streets of Washington erupted in rioting and the Capitol was stormed. Some then persisted with their objections when Congress reconvened hours later.

In an interview that aired Friday on the PBS show “Firing Line,”  Manchin took a hardline stance against Republicans who objected to the vote, particularly Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Ted Cruz of Texas.

Democrats last week had hoped to use the 25th Amendment — which allows for the removal from office of a president incapable of performing his duties — to remove President Donald Trump from office. Vice President Mike Pence rejected their request that he work with the Cabinet to invoke the amendment and remove Trump. – article

So much time wasted on acting like spoiled brats, time that could have been better spent on doing the business of the people, which is not going on. Well, you have to give Joey credit for trying to act like a spoiled brat and succeeding admirably at it.  It’s probably a safe bet that he doesn’t compete in anything unless he thinks he can win, even if he has to cheat to do it.

  1. Hondo says:

I guess the “esteemed” Senator fro West Virginia wants the world to know he’s a freaking idiot.

Too bad West Virginia’s voters didn’t realize that a few years ago and send him home permanently.

  2. The Other Whitey says:

Few of our “elected representatives” have given the slightest token fuck about serving their constituents for years, if ever.

This kind of crap makes me wonder if something really is going down between now and the 20th. Because otherwise, this is dick-beating of such pointlessness that even congressional dems wouldn’t bother with it.

    • ChipNASA says:

      Hmmmmm…..

      “dick-beating of such pointlessness ..”

I have to figure out how to put that into the The Hemisphere of Insults®™

      Something like….
” His erectile dysfunction and impotence is so severe that his continual dick-beating of such pointlessness amazes anyone that is so unfortunate as to be acquainted with him…”

      What do you guys think???

      • Ex-PH2 says:

        Superb. Chip. Go for it.

      • The Other Whitey says:

        Artful! I love it!

By the way, this is one I actually did come up with all by myself. You’re welcome.

      • KoB says:

        SECOND! I *LIKE* it!

And to continue the thoughts of TOW, the “elected representatives” haven’t given the slightest token fuck about anything other than getting re-elected since, well…always!

Just as machines have taken over so much of the labor of humans, thus they now have a machine that can stuff the ballot boxes for them now. They’re almost at the point where they don’t need the useless idiots anymore. And with the wave of illegal immigrants, they will have the really cheap labor to run the Soylent Factories.

      • UpNorth says:

Yeah, that hits the nail(?) on the head.

      • ChipNASA says:

OK, It is done by your guys and Ex-PH2’s command.
        Added to the HoI.
        Thanks for the submission.

      • OldManchu says:

        I’m in! Do it!

  3. I think that we need a third party that will work for the public rather than for themselves.

  4. Green Thumb says:

    Careful here.

The Republican may need to rely on him down the road on several issues.

Get the politics but he is a moderate.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

This line, GT: Manchin took a hardline stance against Republicans who objected to the vote…

He needs to be careful. He could have tried persuasion, but did not. So what (or who) is driving him?

      • Hondo says:

This is particularly true since I’m reasonably sure members of Mancin’s own party objected to certification of the 2000, 2004, and 2020 2016 Presidential elections.

        • David says:

Kinda makes you want to horsetrade… he gets 2020 if we can bounce all from those years. Yeah, I could live with that maybe.

      • Mike Gunns says:

What is driving him is the fact that he IS considered a moderate and he will use that to good effect because of the 50/50 split in the Senate. His vote CAN help the GOPe keep VP Harris from making the deciding vote on leftist dream bills.

Of course, that also depends on Romney and Murkowski not selling out, as is their habit sometimes.

      • Green Thumb says:

        Do not disagree.

        Just looking down the road.

The Republicans may have to rely on him as he is one of the few, if not the only one, of his party that will step across the aisle.

    • USMC Steve says:

Not really, he is a political whore. He blows any direction at any time that he thinks will benefit him.

  5. Steve 1371 says:

They can claim to be the leaders of our nation but good luck with getting us to follow their bullshit. Pass all the unconstitutional laws and make all the stupid executive orders you want till you get writers cramp. We know who was elected by the people and you are living in a fairy tale if you think it is you Demoncrats.

  6. OWB says:

Is this another example of situational ethics? The opinions and probable vote of Senators evidently changed during the “riot.” I just don’t see how that works. They were for it before they were against it based upon nothing related to actual facts?

Oh. Silly me, inserting things like reality into this.

  7. Skippy says:

So what are the odds of him getting re-elected in his state ???

    • Hondo says:

He’s not up for re-election until 2024. Lots of time for this incident to get buried – particularly with the help of a Left-leaning apologist propaganda machine the mainstream media.

    Meanwhile, China is just gloating:

    • Green Thumb says:

      And Lechina James keeps dribbling….

    • Slow Joe says:

Owning our debt means shit. A lion may owe half a sheep to a hyena. Good luck to the hyena cashing out that debt.

This is why China and friends are trying to transform us from a the biggest friggin lion evah into a little tiny beaten dog. We ain’t friggin Argentina. Owning our debt cannot bring us to our knees, because we are the biggest meanest mofos in the world. First, they have to cut us down to size, and only when we are weak, they can use the debt to force us into global serfdom.

  9. I thought that the only moderate Democrat was NRA member John F Kennedy.

  10. 5JC says:

It is going to take a few months to get them on board. The new lady not in charge of border security says:

“Migrants and asylum seekers absolutely should not believe those in the region peddling the idea that the border will suddenly be fully open to process everyone on Day 1. It will not.”

“This effort will begin immediately but it will take months to develop the capacity”

So fully open borders in a few months. I guess the pandemic will be over by then.

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

They will need a “third wave” of unvaccinated folks to justify continuing the “temporary” “emergency” measures.

  11. Sarge says:

Imagine the damage (or fun) that could be had if Trump decided to totally declassify stuff on his last day in office as a fuck you to the dems.

    I can dream can’t I?

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

I imagine a swarm of strokes if the Emergency Alert system was tested with

      “Execute order 66”

    • Mason says:

I’m hoping that Trump makes his final walk out of the White House with a couple of those aliens from Roswell and gets onto a flying saucer giving a Nixon-like victory hand gesture.

  13. Wireman611 says:

Just saw an interesting article about a new patriot act to control “domestic terrorists”. We’re screwed.

    • UpNorth says:

Can’t wait, I’m sure there will be a suspension of 2A rights somewhere in the EO. Probably the 1A too. It’ll have to be an EO, I doubt the dems can push that through Congress as a law.

    • David says:

I wonder if anyone has compared the number of people at the political rally with the numbers of people who actually entered/tried to enter the building? Seems too, that compared to a ‘typical’ riot type incident, that an inordinately high number of people are getting arrested or charged?

  14. President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman says:

    “……something so trivial…..”
Not to the DildoCrats it isn’t.
Anything, ANYTHING, to remove PDJT from being a current and future political threat to their tower of power.

  15. Mason says:

I’m fine with this if we also force out every single politician who has supported the other violent insurrectionist movements like Anitfa and BLM. Some of them were nice enough to point out their affinity for the revolutionaries by using taxpayer dollars to paint messages of support on public streets.

  16. Old tanker says:

Setting the stage to insure that the incoming administration shall not suffer the slings and outrage of a differing opinion or worse yet, outright criticism. Speech is under attack now the second of the bill of rights to be so glaringly assaulted with as is the 2nd amendment. Make no mistake this liberal train of thought is nothing less than the muzzling and pulling of teeth of anyone who disagrees with the “party”. The last bastion of freedom on the globe is in danger of disappearing right in front of our eyes.

  17. Docduracoat says:

They need Trump impeached so he can’t win the 2024 election.
After the disaster of the incomingBiden/Harris administration, many Dems will make a protest vote in 2024.
People will look back o the Trump administration the way Russians look a k at Soviet times.
Compared the the current administration, it will seeem like paradise to a e DJT ack in office

    • USMC Steve says:

You are making an invalid assumption here, by assuming rational behavior among mostly irrational and unstable people. Most social democrats will vote the party line mindlessly because that is what they must do. It would take a very severe form of maltreatment to put them off their Wheaties in that regard. But it won’t matter, because the social democrats will continue to steal elections, until the conservatives forcefully and violently dissuade them from doing so.

  18. Stacy0311 says:

The Jan 6 protest/riot/insurrection/domestic terrorism (new talking point) is going to be the gift that keeps on giving for the Democrats.

Every crackdown/lockdown/restraint of liberty will be predicated with “We need to do X to prevent another Jan 6th”

And it’s not censorship when they outsource it to a private company (like California is doing)

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Who would have thunk such a thing?

The Marxist cadre of the Democrat party are privatizing their Fascism and Racism in support of their Revolution.
