Spies Are Us

| December 14, 2020

Well, it’s finally admitted to: China has been very naughty and likely will continue to be very naughty, unless we bring all our industries back home where they belong, which is what we should do but likely won’t, for the foreseeable future.

But there is no surprise involved in this: it has been bandied about like Hedda Hopper’s gossip column, and yet, like Hedda’s gossip, it was based on reality.

Essentially, it boils down to these brief summaries from the article. That it is from the UK viewpoint instead of USA does not matter. This has been going on for some time everywhere, including here in the USA and our facilities overseas, and therefore should not be viewed as something new.

Leaked files expose mass infiltration of UK firms by Chinese Communist Party including AstraZeneca, Rolls Royce, HSBC and Jaguar Land Rover

  • Loyal members of Chinese Communist Party are working in British consulates, universities and for some of the UK’s leading companies, The Mail on Sunday can reveal
  • Leaked database of 1.95m registered party members reveals how Beijing’s malign influence now stretches into almost every corner of British life, including defense firms, banks and pharmaceutical giants
  • Some members, who swear oath to ‘guard Party secrets, be loyal to the Party, work hard, fight for communism throughout my life…and never betray the Party’, are understood to have jobs in British consulates

Why am I not surprised?

Wait…you mean people who take money from China to purchase local businesses on behalf of the them may be close to our Political Leaders? No way, how could we let that happen?
Ohh, wait…apparently we just elected a President whose son admits to taking funds from China, to start up a holding company that purchases promising tech companies for China! He also takes money from Russia and its allies as well, but that is not a newsworthy story!

Wonder if the Indians concur? Tata owns Jaguar nowadays.

Tanks Ex for posting. Been following this for awhile. I do wish I could produce a surprised face, but alas, it is not to be.

What will be surprising is if Larsie Boi DOESN’T show up screeing that “China is not Communist” and LC NOT showing up telling us that the Communist Chinese do not have world conquest on their minds and that we have nothing to fear from them other than honest capitalist competition.

I do hope that their chains rest lightly.

LC

….LC NOT showing up telling us that the Communist Chinese do not have world conquest on their minds and that we have nothing to fear from them other than honest capitalist competition.

When did I say anything remotely resembling that remark? If that’s what you got from my point that the Chinese have embraced capitalism (albeit, state-capitalism) as an economic plan, your reading comprehension skills are lacking.

China is a shrewd player that’s always looking to expand their influence, and clearly have global ambitions – and capabilities.

You mean that enemies of the USA are doing stuff like spying, bribing, compromising, and otherwise undermining this country and her allies with the stated intent of taking over? No. Couldn’t possibly be that. Naw. Enemies never do stuff like that, and only fools would think that enemies would be doing it now just because it has historically always gone on in some form or another. Say it ain’t so!

Oh, goody. Something else to look forward to as we face 2021.

Will woke folks ever realize the folly of their unicorn and skittle outlook upon their enemies? Will they continue their misguided view that their fellow citizens are a greater threat to them than are the countries and ideologies who have actually declared war upon them? How will history see all this?

Who knew? Progressivism is a mental disorder:

This explains much of their bad behavior.

If I had a nickel for every time that was said here, I’d almost have enough to buy a Starbucks cup of their fancy coffee.

UpNorth

I have to agree with the researchers.

So with all this evidence saying the machines don’t meet the integrity standard set by the Federal Election commission, why are we seeing all the law suites being rejected?

Cowardice.

On the plus side we do have some advantages in the long run. Our system of government encourages cultural dissent (despite the recent attempts by the left to squash it). The Chinese system of government encourages organ donation for those who dissent.

Hard to have innovation and success when everyone is more concerned about towing the party line than anything else.

Intellectual theft is a tactically useful tool to gain short term advantage and reduce your need for R&D investment. But what happens when you reach the point there is nothing left to steal? How are they going to develop anything when everyone is too scared to put forth new ideas?

Combine that with the long term problems of their one child policy and the damage their environmental policies are doing/will do, it’s going to be a closer horse race than they think.

Well is the fbi investigating whether any of the Biden transition team are communicating with foreigners. That would be collusion and we ALL know that is wrong.

Just wait, the handlers for the political parties haven’t exchanged scripts yet.

You’ll hear the same thing from the new POTUS that we heard from the current POTUS. Fake news, it’s a political witch hunt, etc…

The truth doesn’t matter since they control all the information.

I’m more curious about the SolarWinds hack and its effect on Dominion Voting software.
