Cops say Shaerin Kelley purchased a GPS device to track her husband
Washington state police have accused a woman of hiring a teenage hitman to whack her ex-husband –who survived after being shot nine times.
Authorities say Shaerin Kelley, 30, agreed to pay the 17-year-old $13,000 to murder her former spouse, Baron Li, who was shot in July in Bellevue, according to KOMO-TV.
Court documents paint a deliberate and disturbing murder-for-hire scheme, the station reported.
Bellevue police announced the arrests of Kelley and the teen on attempted murder charges Friday.
“Something like this is rare,” Maj. Travess Forbush said, KOMO reported.

Jury finds woman acted in self-defense in 2019 shooting that led to a man’s death
Sterling Parker was shot outside of Walle Rockets Bar in Oct. 2019 after allegedly intervening in a fight between Hankins and his sister.
Shantoria Hankins has been found not guilty on charges stemming from an incident that left a man dead last year outside of a west Toledo bar.
Hankins had been charged with the Oct. 2019 shooting death of Sterling Parker at Walle Rockets Bar at Upton and Sylvania. She was in court Friday morning.
Here is what the jury found:
COUNT 1 – MURDER: Not guilty.
COUNT 2 – MURDER: Guilty, however, the jury found that Hankins was acting in self-defense.
COUNTY 3 – FELONIOUS ASSUALT: Guilty, however, the jury found that Hankins was, again, acting in self-defense.
Witnesses the night of the shooting on Oct. 23, 2019, said it all stemmed from a fight outside between two women.One of the women involved was Parker’s sister.

Got lost over there in the Thompson linky. Yeah, I know, big surprise, it was planned to get me lost over there. Ol’J.Edgar pictured posing with one, wonder if he still has a picture of him dressed as a gun moll, ala, Bonnie holding that gat? Watched at an episode of Combat with Vic Morrow last evening on the Heroes and Icons free TV Broadcast Channel. He loved his Thompson. We fired them for familiarization way back yonder and had a FIRST Sergeant that had carried one in three wars. Had one in the Battery Arms Room with his name on it.

That Thompson wasn’t the same as we had onboard the Okinawa. We had the wood horizontal hand grip under a possible shorter barrel. I don’t remember if the charging handle was on the top or left side of the receiver since it was a long time ago. Shot it off the fantail at empty food cans along with the B.A.R,M-1 Garand, M-1 Carbine and 1911 .45 for qualification at different times while at sea. Some of the Fox Div. Guys bought shotgun shells and we had trap shooting off of the flight deck with a small fee to cover the cost of the ammo. Watched them a couple of times but never participated.
The pictured one is a 1928 type. The one you describe is the later, somewhat-simplified for wartime manufacture M-1 type.
Also, the civilian modern ones with buttstocks have the required 16 inch barrels to avoid the NFA paperwork. The original civvy guns pre-dated the NFA and were shorter, as were the GI types.
They are a hoot to shoot.
The original full-auto Thompsons had a 10.5 inch barrel, about 12 inches with the Cutts compensator.

And no head shot while standing over the victim? Chances are this is the first time “Teenage Shooter” had shot anybody.
I’ve heard that divorces can be acrimonious, but this action is a bit too far.
