Mitigating the China Threat

| October 8, 2020

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know China has been kicking up her heels of late. From a nearly five-month-long border standoff with India, to being engaged in hotly contested territorial disputes in the South and East China Seas, its substantial progress in militarizing its man-made islands in the region, human rights, and of course releasing the Chinese Virus on the world, China has raised concerns in the Pacific and here. The US is meeting with the Indo-Pacific leaders to form a group known as “The Quad” to address the situation.

Pompeo Rallies Alliance of Nations Against Growing Chinese Aggression

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Tuesday that China’s increasingly aggressive actions across the region make it more critical than ever for four Indo-Pacific nations known as the Quad to cooperate to fight Chinese “exploitation, corruption and coercion.”

Pompeo made the remark at a meeting in Tokyo with the foreign ministers of Japan, India and Australia, who together make up the Quad.

Pompeo accused China of covering up the coronavirus pandemic and worsening it, while threatening freedom and democracy in the region.

“It is more critical now than ever that we collaborate to protect our people and partners from the Chinese Communist Party’s exploitation, corruption and coercion,” Pompeo said.

The talks came amid tensions between Washington and Beijing over the coronavirus pandemic, trade, technology, Hong Kong, Taiwan and human rights.

They follow a recent flareup in tensions between China and India over their disputed Himalayan border, while relations between Australia and China have also deteriorated in recent months.

Japan, meanwhile, is concerned about China’s claim to the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands, called Diaoyu in China, in the East China Sea.

Japan also considers China’s growing military activity to be a security threat.

Presenting a united front with the region’s heavy hitters is just sound policy. One wonders what a Biden administration would do. Read the entire article here: Western Journal

The Other Whitey

A Biden administration would make an interminably long, rambling, incoherent speech about nothing substantive, cash a fat Chinese check in Hunter’s name, and let the godless commie bastards do their thing. Hair-sniffing and child-fondling optional.

A Proud Infidel®™

A Biden administration would cave to China as soon as they started funneling money to his Son Hunter, that is only IF he stayed in Office more than a week before caving to his handlers and handing the Office of POTUS to Harris!

API, you think creepy old groping Joe will last a week? I give it 72 hours. Once they steal the election and Joe is sworn in, the gloves come off, his handlers will have him submit his resignation, he’ll swear in Whoremala, she will in turn appoint Mooschele as VP, make Barry a Justice of SCOTUS, and turn the Treasury over to Hitlery. Bernie will get SecDef to insure the transfer of the command of the US Military to the Chinese goes smoothly.

Scary thought ain’t it? China will continue to probe and poke, keeping an eye out for an opening. In their eyes, they have all the time in the world. Anybody else read Clancy’s The Bear and the Dragon? We need all the friends we can get in this region.
