Deputies Shot-Protesters Block ER Entrance and Exit

Shooter walks up to vehicle and fires. Both deputies needed to be hospitalized. (ABC 7/LA Country Sheriffs)

Video shows the shooter walking to a police vehicle and firing into it from the passenger side. The video cuts off right when one of the deputies exits the vehicle. Both were rushed to the hospital. Protesters were on the scene attempting to block progress into the emergency room. Chants of, “We hope they die,” were heard.

From Eyewitness News ABC 7:

A man clad in dark clothing walks up to the parked vehicle at the Metro station, approaches the window on the passenger’s side and fires several times at close range. The suspect then runs off on foot. One deputy is seen emerging from the passenger side and stumbling around on foot for several seconds before the video ends.

Both deputies sustained multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery at a local hospital. They were described as alive but in critical condition.

“That was a cowardly act,” Sheriff Alex Villanueva said. “The two deputies were doing their job, minding their own business, watching out for the safety of the people on the train.”

“To see somebody just walk up and start shooting on them. It pisses me off. It dismays me at the same time. There’s no pretty way to say it.”

One deputy was described as a 31-year-old mother of a 6-year-old boy. Her husband came to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood after the shooting.

The other deputy was a 24-year-old man and his girlfriend and parents came to hospital.

Villanueva said he swore in both deputies to office just 14 months ago in the same class.

Anti-law enforcement protesters trying to get into a hospital emergency room….

They should be careful what they wish for.

  2. David says:

Y’know, when the protesters cross the line and act like mad dogs…

  3. The Other Whitey says:

Lars’s heroes at the Gravel Institute have been posting that cops’ lives, especially these two, don’t matter, and are doing everything they can to dehumanize LEOs and incite more violence while hiding behind the 1st Amendment. Disgusting doesn’t begin to describe it.

Civil war is coming, because the fascists of Klantifa won’t stop. It will be short, and they will lose, but innocent people will suffer and die because of it. I’m also worried about what kind of shit the Red Chinese commies will try to pull once it gets going.

^Word^ TOW, you got to wonder, also, how many other “sleeper agents” are buried hither and yon throughout the countryside that are just awaiting a “go active” signal. How many troops and pieces of military hardware could be smuggled into Long Beach Harbor for them to get a toe hold. Forschten made mention of the ChiComs coming to “help us” on the west coast in his One Second After novel.

It is sad that after all that America has done for the overall freedom of people in the World, that there are so many who would like to see America become a 3rd world sh^thole.

Maybe these folks acting like made dogs needs them a large caliber rabies shot. And as Ex pointed out above, careful what you wish for around an Emergency Room.

Stay Safe Brother, you, your mates, and all of our Fyrfighters on the lines.

Time to break out the batons and break some knees

    Motherfuckers.

  5. MustangCryppie says:

And to the LA Sheriff: get ten deputies and BUST through that crowd!

    • Slow Joe says:

The LA sheriff doesn’t inspire confidence.

Why were 2 rookies in the same patrol?

      • UpNorth says:

Very good, Slow. An excellent question. It sounds like they were just in the same recruit class.
Maybe they were assigned to that beat because “nothing ever happens there”?
The female deputy performed admirably, moving the male deputy to cover, calling for help and putting a tourniquet on his arm.

        • NHSparky says:

Up, it’s COMPTON. Not the worst of LA neighborhoods, like Willowbrook, Inglewood, or Signal Hill, but it sure as shit ain’t Beverly Hills or the beach communities.

          • UpNorth says:

Or maybe the experienced deputies were in short supply that day? I don’t know how LASD assigns deputies to the 2man person cars, if it’s by preference according to seniority, or random choosing or whatever.

  6. Anonymous says:

These would be “all enemies, foreign and domestic” by their actions, right?

  7. Sarge says:

and they wonder why us sane Americans decline to support their movement

  8. Penguinman000 says:

Normal people are finally starting to pay attention to what the actually say and do (vice their propaganda spin attempts). They are being called out by the likes of Bill Maher.

They say what they mean and mean what they say.

We should never forget there are more of us (sane, tax paying, law abiding citizens of all political/religious/racial bents) than there are of them.

  9. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

The more I see of the antifa and BLM minions, the more convinced I am that they’re little more that herd animals that blindly do the bidding of their handlers.

  10. HMCS(FMF) ret says:

I posted about this on the “Feel Good thread” earlier… still in shock about this and the cold blooded nature of this.

Both have been Deputies for about a year… one with a 6 year old boy.

    Fuck…

  11. Sparks says:

Folks, in my opinion, this has become domestic terrorism and nothing less. It now should be dealt with as such.

I am sick of this. Cowardly thugs who ambush officers who are there to protect them and their community as well as others.

I hope this man is found and faces the fullest extent of punishment for two counts of attempted murder.

This is when citizens like me, who lawfully acquire their guns and lawfully carry, will step up to help police officers and innocent people.

I tell you, this is going to come to a halt and that right quick. I am not sure how, but I can see it coming.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Sparks, if you want to know how bad it really is, type wgn news live into your search block for the evening news, and keep score on how many drive-by shootings are going on in Chicago.

If it weren’t for the internet, as far away as I am from what is becoming a hell hole all over again, I wouldn’t know what was going on. It’s almost like they’re in practice for something else. And yes, the drive-by shooters are getting little kids shot dead.

  12. SFC D says:

These are your people, Lars Taylor. Bring to your sorry self-important progressive-liberal ass out and answer.

  13. Sapper3307 says:

And my new holster came in upgrading from a P290RS to my P228.

  14. 26Limabeans says:

Next they will plant explosives on little kids and have them approach
the police officers. Then all we need is a burning Monk.

  15. NHSparky says:

Stay away from Twitter unless you have excellent BP meds and hide all sharp or fragile objects.

  16. Deckie says:

These protesters want a war, and when they get it they’re gonna get stacked like cordwood. And I won’t feel the least bit sorry for any of them. Yah, they kinda already started it I guess, but the response they’re gonna get will be a lead hailstorm.

No matter who wins in November this isn’t going to stop.

  17. Ex-PH2 says:

This is kind of beginning to resemble the infamous gangs of New York, from the middle of the 19th cnetury.

The Bowery Boys were street thugs who acted as lookouts for their own turf and were thieves and brawlers who held real jobs during the day.

Here’s a link to that stuff. Those gangs could all probably take the pantifas apart at the seams.

A more contemporary example, and one with which you might be familiar, is the Hard Hat Riot of 1970:

  20. Green Thumb says:

Why are they not fighting fires?

    Prisoners used to do it.

    • Hack Stone says:

One of Hack Stone’s liberal Facebook friends posted a meme about why don’t Trump supporters head out to California to fight the forest fires. Hack does not know many people not affiliated with Federal or State Agencies who have their own fire trucks and repurposed military aircraft reconfigured to drop flame retardant on forest fires. Besides, take a look at the hate directed at the Conservative who went to Baltimore just to pick up some of the trash there.

  21. OWB says:

Does it really matter what excuse is used, what they are chanting or what they claim as a cause? Anybody impeding ingress or egress at an ER should be arrested. Not gonna expect it, but clowns playing in traffic should be as well.

  22. OldManchu says:

I’m no bad ass. So I’m not the one. But would anyone be surprised is someone started sniping these asshats. Literally. Out one or maybe two down right there at the hospital doors. I feel like swat / Leo should be doing it already. But what if a solo act did it? Would anyone defend the criminals?

    • OldManchu says:

      If. Not is. If someone…

    • penguinman000 says:

Would anyone defend the criminals from someone else committing a criminal act? Yes.

The very same people the protesters and criminals wish dead. Law enforcement would show up stop the bad guy doing bad things. That’s what they do. Every day.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. The answer to lawlessness isn’t more lawlessness. The answer to lawlessness is application of the law. Equitably and without prejudice.

      • OldManchu says:

But that isn’t happening. Is it!?
If someone kicks in your door and charges at your loved ones with a knife, are you telling me scenes of a textbook courtroom prosecution with a guilty verdict immediately come to mind? Are you going to start philosophizing in that very instant? No. Your going to try to stop them with deadly force. Because in that instant it is self defense. Not a 2nd wrong to apply to your “two wrong don’t make a right” teach the grade school children statement.

        • Penguinman000 says:

Self defense is legal. Not sure how you got I was advocating for being a polite victim.

What I took from your statement was advocation for extrajudicial killings. That’s morally wrong.

          • OldManchu says:

I didn’t think you were advocating for being a polite victim. Sorry if I communicated that.

What I was trying to ask is this. As the gap closes between “protesters” outside the hospital doors stating they want to enter and finish off the cops, and an actual door kicker charging my Family or Yours, when is that line crossed? When would it become self defense vs extrajudicial killings? We both agree by our comments above that there is a line.

            • 11B-Mailclerk says:

The Marxist insurgents want us to abandon our own laws and values. -that- is what the seek to destroy.

Now, Law can be used to defeat them. There is all sorts of contingency law in US Code for such would-be insurgents. It can be invoked, and it allows for some pretty rough stuff.

And if it really goes all-out “insurgency” then the Laws and Customs of War apply. They have already bought their “unlawful combatants” marker, so they probably won’t like that outcome.

Us bystanders need to ensure we all stick to the rules and the Law. No rioting, no assassination. None of their bullshit. Self defense in the immediacy of “I was in fear for my life!” , yes. Going insurgent? No.

So think hard on how one votes, how to apply standing Law, how to encourage sane politicians to do so by backing them, How to discourage assholes by voting them out.

The anti-American insurgents substitute noise for true “masses”. Keep in mind they are tiny but well funded by evil and backed by an essential support group of evil/stupid.

Wreck the support of those vulnerable support types, and the insurgent fish have no sea in which to swim. Prosecute “aiding and abetting”. Name and shame. Etc.

You can play “Lawful Good” without “nice”. Note how the enemy demands we play “nice”. Heh. Justice and Mercy can be pretty effective when applied properly.

            • penguinman000 says:

This is an example of the down side for the internets. Hard to get intention when people write stuff at times. No worries.

11B pretty much summed up my views. We do what’s right all the time, every time. Because we are the good guys.

We don’t have to justify illegal acts or abdication of our moral high ground. Because we don’t act in an illegal manner or stray from our morals.

But that also means we don’t have to be victims or stupid. The law applies to everyone here and now. The law of 1860 isn’t relevant for interaction in today’s worlds.

We have the most level playing field ever in recorded human history. Still more we can do to make things better.

But justifying mob rule or actions isn’t a step forward. It’s a step back. That’s a key lesson Major Ostrich never learned.

We (the good guys) should take ownership of our neighborhoods. Look out for those at risk. Connect with other sane citizens and act in a coordinated manner at the local/state/federal level. If you have the capacity or resources to actively support the good guys do so (I just got sworn back in as a LEO last week). When there is criminal activity in your neighborhood report it and show up to testify. Encourage your neighbors to do the same. Get involved in your local schools and colleges. Lets start taking back our education system from the dipshits we ceded it to.

There are more of us than there are of them. And we’ve given enough ground to their temper tantrums. Time for the adults to step up to the plate. Time for the silent majority to scream in unified voice “ENOUGH!!!”

It comes down to this. Side with anarchy/barbarians that are burning everything to the ground or side with civilization to continue making things better for everyone. I know what side I’m on.

    Two things:
1-Every incident like that is more votes for Trump
2-We can all see a dead coward running away

P.S. Will the NFL honor him with patch or sticker for the palyers helmets?

    • Deckie says:

I’m sure folks everywhere on the left are waiting to find out who this person is, not for the sake of justice… rather so they can put their face on t-shirts and parade them around as heroes.
