You May Now Twiddle Your Thumbs….

| August 20, 2020

I stumbled across this recently.  Okay, I tripped and banged my knee on the desk, while I was reading it, but that’s the price you pay for being thoroughly engrossed in doing something. And kudos to whoever found the grenade graphic above. Some things are more eloquent than speech.

This is an article that is well worth the time it takes to read it. You can, if you prefer, put off reading it until after dinner tonight, but yes, it is worth your time.

The author is right in his assessment.  Trump is giving the local & state authorities just enough rope to hang themselves. It would be nice if he could somehow transfer that to Congress as well, but that’s a difficult path to tread, and the author is correct in that, sometimes, it’s best to do nothing. Let people find their own rope. I may not like Trump as a person, but he does know how to maneuver these slippery slopes.

The most recent business with the CARES Act has either eliminated the so-called stimulus check, or else the parties discussing this agreed to let that lie for now. Hard to say, but it is not included in the new and revised version of the CARES Act, as of yesterday.  That is still under discussion and while the left side of the political fence (the H of R) still wants to have their way, the other side of that fence has changed its tune just a tad. It’s kind of like watching a really good pitcher throw the ball just so, because he knows that it will drop before it reaches the plate and the batter gets a swing and a miss.

From the article:  A British PM, Lord Palmerston I think, dropped a pearl of wisdom into the ear of a subordinate who’d dashed to him waving a piece of paper that dealt with the latest crisis to assail them and what should they do? Palmerston read it through slowly and calmly replied “Sometimes it’s vitally important to do nothing.” – article

As I said, take your time. If you read the whole thing now, it’s about 30 minutes of your life you will be glad you spent.

Geez… and I just stumbled into this!

Brian Kolfage, the triple amputee wall builder,
Steve Bannon (we all know who he is),
AND
Timothy Shea, a Castle Rock, Colorado Stolen Valor protege
of George Teal, Castle Rock city councilman,
phony Desert Storm veteran,
who was recently booted out of the VFW (fraudulent membership),
but is STILL in the race for Douglas County Commish.

Small world.
Ugh, ugh, and ugh.

Posting it now.

Mason,
Good call.
It’s alarming that most of the MSM is all over Bannon,
and all but ignoring Kolfage,
relegating Kolfage as 1 of “the others”,
and some seemingly not even knowing who Kolfage is.

Isn’t it apparent that Kolfage (and his wife) are the key?
But alas, neither Kolfage’s wife nor Shea’s wife were charged.

Ugh. Geez. And more ugh.
Thanks 🙂
