Fort Hood? Again?

| August 12, 2020

It’s an enormous base with a lot of people, so it’s fair that they get their share of bad press. At a time where several servicemembers have been killed though, they don’t need this.

Military.com and Stars and Stripes are reporting that police in Killeen, Texas have arrested nine people in a child prostitution ring. Three of those are active duty soldiers from Ft. Hood.

SPC Anthony Xavier Antwon, 25, and PFC Timmy Jones Jr., 30 are being charged with felony charges for underage prostitution while SSG Pierre Jean, 32, is receiving a Class A misdemeanor charge for prostitution. Antwon and Jones are Ft. Hood soldiers while Jean is a medic at Joint Base San Antonio-Ft. Sam Houston.

Killeen’s Special Victim’s Unit partnered with the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Program “to locate and arrest subjects who were willing to make overt efforts to pay minors to engage in sexual acts,” according to the release.

The article notes that two firearms were also confiscated, but it’s not reported who was in possession of the firearms at the time of their arrest.

“Fort Hood Commander’s Transfer On Hold Amid Investigations, Command Climate Review”

https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2020/08/09/fort-hood-commanders-transfer-on-hold-amid-investigations-command-climate-review/

“Army leaders have delayed the planned transfer of the Fort Hood commander, as a team of independent investigators heads to the base to determine whether leadership failures contributed to the murder of a soldier earlier this year, and several other deaths.”

“Maj. Gen. Scott Efflandt, commander of Fort Hood, Texas, was slated to go to Fort Bliss, which is near El Paso, and take over leadership of the 1st Armored Division. Command of a division is a key step in an Army officer’s career. The Army said in a statement Friday that he will now stay at Fort Hood, as Army leaders consider whether there were systemic problems at the base, and who should be held accountable.”

“Speaking at Fort Hood on Thursday, Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy said members of the independent panel will arrive at the base by the end of the month to begin their review. The 3rd Cavalry Regiment, which is stationed at Fort Hood, is also conducting a routine internal investigation into the matter.”

“McCarthy was asked whether anyone, including leaders, will be disciplined or fired. He said that the independent panel will look into the “command climate of the installation,” to determine if there is a “sexual harassment-type toxic environment that exists.” McCarthy said that will help the Army “better understand more broadly, is it 3rd ACR (Armored Cavalry Regiment) or is it larger? Is it the entire installation?”

“Once the independent panel’s investigation is done, McCarthy said that if the panel’s conclusions “point to leaders or individuals, in particular, of course we will take the appropriate accountability” measures.”

“The five members of the independent review panel are: Chris Swecker, a North Carolina lawyer and former FBI inspector; Jonathan Harmon, a lawyer and graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; Carrie Ricci, a lawyer for the Department of Agriculture and a retired Army officer; Queta Rodriguez, a former Marine who works with veterans’ services; and Jack White, a lawyer and West Point graduate.”

Hope the General is ready to go ahead and retire. No matter how the “investigation” turns out, his career is over. After all, he is personally responsible for the actions of every one of the what, 40 some odd thousand people that are on that post? That new, key word that we keep seeing lately…systemic.

On the proper punishment for the dirtbags that thought they were going to get lucky with girl children? Hammer, anvil, their testicles! Some assembly required.

If on the inherwebz lookin’ for luv, fair warning…if she appears to be a nubile cutie pie, she’s 5′ tall and 5′ wide…with 5 kids. If he appears to be a real stud muffin, he’s 5′ tall and 5′ wide…with 5 ex wives and suffering from erectile dysfunction. If she appears to be a teenager, she’s a cop. The po po don’t have time to chase the smart crooks cause they too busy catching teh stoopid ones.

These sick mofos just p— me off. I have zero issues with what 2 consenting adults do in the privacy of their own space. You start bringing in minors or unwilling participants, then there is a problem.

Notice to dirtbags. As old and decrepit that I’m getting to be, a life prison sentence is NOT a deterrence to me taking you out.

Fort Hood is weird. Like there are two installations.

On the one hand, it is a great place to be stationed for most…on the other…this kind of crap.

I was there 2008-2011 and it was hard, good duty. But at the same time, there were so many stupid things going on. Most of the time, you don’t even know until it blows up.

What I do know is that Killeen is part of the problem. Killeen may not be the asshole of the USA, but it’s close.

Killeen didn’t make the post SHARP start up a prostitution ring. Just sayin’.

Well, yes and no…prostitution has always been a problem in Killeen that the city never really addressed (Metropolitan Ave is a problem to this day), so the business model may be somewhat easier to get into there…but no one put a gun to the idiots heads and made them do it either.

My own thoughts are that soldiers have too much free time, but that may be a bias from the 1980s where keeping troops busy as seen as an excellent way to avoid problems.

It used to be Fort Bragg that had all the Problem Children…

Also at yesterday’s Military Times is this article about a Tricare scandal in which Fort Hood played a major role:

Execution you die only once. Life in prison you die a little bit every day.

Slow Joe

Bullshit.

Execution: The perp is fuckin dead

Life in Prison: The perp is breathing, reading books, writing, watching TV, eating, and have a 50 percent chance of getting out, despite being “life”.

Not always, most Sex Offenders are kept in Protective Custody which is known as “Punk Central” to those in General Population where they are kept in solitude 23 hours a day with only an hour in an exercise pen outside their cell being the exception.
