Two former Green Berets sentenced to 20 years for Venezuelan raid

If Maduro had a daughter.

thebesig posted about these two back when they were arrested.

Airan Berry, 42, and Luke Denman, 34, both former US Army Special Forces veterans with eight deployments to OIF/OEF between them, have now been sentenced to 20 years by a Venezuelan court.

Last May they were caught by Venezuelan authorities in a botched raid to oust Maduro (nominally the President of the country, but not recognized as such by the US). Authorities there said they have confessed to “having committed the crimes of conspiracy, association, illicit trafficking of weapons of war and terrorism”.

The two men were working for a private military contractor out of Florida. They were training ex-military and ex-police Venezuelan defectors in Columbia at the time of their arrest.

Efforts are underway to secure their release, and the release of several oil executives also imprisoned in the country.

Well, if Rice is picked as Bidden’s VP, AND IF he was to steal, er,,, I mean win the election,,, I’m sure that she will use her experience and expertise to get them release!.!.!

SARC/OFF, as if this was needed

Oh, that’s nice. I hear that Venezuela’s jails are a much better class of incarceration architecture than those old Soviet dens of iniquity.

Do I have to put the /s in this?

Looked like a mostly peaceful protest to me…

Why isn’t Venezuela defunding their police?

    • rgr769 says:

Because they don’t need to defund. If there is a protest against Maduro, he just sends his armed Militia to beat and shoot protesters. No uniformed police are needed to deal with large protests.

Not sure what was more pathetic in that WaPo article; The 2 idiots featured, the veiled insinuation that it was all Trump’s fault, or the pop up BLM ads with the picture of their dope laced, drunk, bad paper passing career hoodlum with the caption “Rest in Power Beautiful”? GMAFB!

If you gonna try a Mission Impossible, instead of modeling your actions on a sawed off dorky Hollyweird enabled former wannabe naval aviator (sic) who can only do something using smoke from ice, man, AND to keep from getting your goose cooked, next time call on Barbs to distract ’em.

Speaking of AOC – she’s such a hypocrite.

When she was called a name she milked the moment and spoke about it on the House floor.

Calling her a name was wrong, but there was irony in her condemnation of it.

It was a few years earlier that her friend and colleague – Congresswoman Rashida Talib – called the POTUS a MF-er. AOC’s reaction? She slammed criticism as faux outrage.
