Two dead in stabbing, shooting at Bellevue apartment tower
The incident escalated from a dispute between relative and host of party, police say

A party turned deadly, at the Elements Too Apartment building, a high-rise tower in downtown Bellevue.

Bellevue Police Chief Steve Mylett spoke to press Sunday with an update on the double-homicide. Police state they haven’t yet determined a motive, and there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

In attendance of the 22-year-old Bellevue woman’s gathering was a 41-year-old relative from Burien, a 21-year-old from Renton and a 24-year-old from Bend, Oregon. At some point, Mylett said, a domestic disturbance broke out between the Burien relative and the Bellevue woman.

Police say evidence and interviews indicate the 41-year-old man then stabbed the three others. The 21-year-old from Renton died at the scene from multiple stab wounds.

The Oregon resident, who was stabbed multiple times in the neck, then reached for his firearm and shot the 41-year-old, killing him. He was reported Sunday to be in good condition after undergoing surgery at Harborview Medical Center. The Bellevue woman was treated for her stab wounds and released from Overlake Medical Center.

Although the crime scene originally blocked off the third to first floors of the apartment, including the lobby, Mylett said they believe the attack was contained to the party on the third floor, and only attendees of the event were there.

Man Stabs Assailant In Self-Defense At Sedgwick Brown Line Stop, Police Say

CHICAGO (CBS) — A man stabbed an assailant who was attacking him early Tuesday at the Sedgwick Brown Line station on the city’s Near North Side, police said.

At 6:47 a.m., the 45-year-old man was entering the turnstile at the station on Sedgwick Street just below North Avenue when another man, 46, followed him in and began physically attacking him, police said.

The assailant at one point hit the victim with a cone, police said.

The victim eventually stabbed the assailant in the upper chest, police said.

The assailant was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said. The victim was not injured.

I inherited a S&W Governor from my father-in-law. These types of revolvers are for niche markets but they do offer impressive and versatile firepower. I took the Governor when I passed through Richmond recently (protests and all that). I kept six .410 slugs loaded, had the moon clip loaded with .45 ACP, and had some loose .45 Colt and extra .410 just in case (haven’t gotten around to getting speedloaders and spare moon clips yet).

Welcome aboard, William.

The high-end .45 Colt ammunition is far better than any .410 slug. You can get CorBon +P .45s 200gr JHPs at 1100 or (if you can find them) their 300gr JSP at 1300. (Modern strong guns only, like ruger)

If you need more than that, use a .44 Mag.

The Colt rounds from a Colt-chambered gun will have more barrel length for same overall length, so will hit harder.

.45ACP out of a moon-clip wheelgun like a S&W 625 is plenty for “social security”. CorBon has some nice +P fodder for those, too.

Is it a smooth bore barrel? Then use the 410 shells.
If it’s a rifled barrel, use the 45LC/45ACP.
If you “cross the streams”, you get disappointing results.

Concerning the Taurus “whatever”, “….and there’s an option of a Tritium cylinder too.”

Tritium? Really?
Or did someone misspell titanium, and the editor didn’t catch it?

Fjardeson

Good point, Tritium is a gas… ?!? used in night sights, and boosted-fusion nuclear weapons. 🙂

The old “knife to a gunfight” argument can also be used in the old “cone to a gunfight” theory. What kind of cone? Ice cream? Traffic? Strangely dressed/talking family from France?

Which Judge would you rather have, the one pictured above or the one in this attachment?

Ask Beldar.

Don’t bring a cone to a knife fight?
