Woman shoots her boyfriend in act of self-defense

by Yaremi Farina
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Treasure Coast woman shoots and kills her boyfriend in what deputies are now calling self-defense.

The Martin County Sheriff said the 46-year-old woman believed her boyfriend was going to attack her with his bare hands.

On Monday CBS12 obtained the frantic 911 call where you can hear the woman is hysterical, barely comprehending what just happened.

“I need an ambulance right now,” yelled Sabo.

“Where,” said 911 dispatcher.

“136 oh my God 136,” Sabo said.

In the 911 call you can hear Sabo of Port St. Lucie panic.

“What’s the street you are on,” asked the 911 dispatcher.

“ I’m trying to figure it out,” yelled Sabo.

“It’s alright catch your breath,” said the dispatcher.

She made the 911 call from inside a 55 and over mobile home community called Leisure Village.

She said she was there picking up her car keys from boyfriend’s mother’s home when her boyfriend, Brock Dion, tried to attack.

“At first he threw a pail at her and missed. Then he threw a large ceramic figurine missed her and hit her car. Having missed with two projectiles he then advanced on her on foot with his hands out like he anticipated to choke her,” said Sheriff Snyder.

In the frantic 911 call, Sabo told the dispatcher she shot Dion in an act of self- defense.

Cocoa police: Laundromat shooting was in self-defense

Greg Pallone
Police say the shooter was at the laundromat when he was confronted by the victim.
Police says the shooter described the victim as being aggressive and threatening, and said he was in fear of his safety, which is why he fired. The shooter then called 911.

The manager of the laundromat says there was an argument outside the business, and then she heard the gunshots and called police.

“I heard the shooter say something like ‘back-up, get away,’ and I turned around and I heard a pop and somebody say ‘somebody got shot,’” the manager told Spectrum News reporter Greg Pallone.

The victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. Police say he made similar statements, saying he was the aggressor.

Upstate homeowner shoots and kills man attempting to break in

ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX CAROLINA) John Harkness can’t do much.

“I got a bad heart, I’ve had a heart operation, I’m on dialysis, I’m on oxygen,” Harkness said.

He says he goes to doctors’ appointments and back to his Anderson home to rest. The door to his place of comfort though is now marked with bullets holes and it started with a knock at his door.

“They asked for my son,” Harkness said.

He says he told the guy his son was not there.

“About five minutes later another knock came on my door and this other guy asked was my son here.”

He says he’s never seen the guys before.

“Ummmm something ain’t right,” Harkness said.

He says he grabbed his pistol and says that’s when he saw two other guys walking toward the home.

“I told the other guy, ‘Are those guys with you?’ And he said no,” Harkness explained.

However, he says one of the guys pushed his front door and tried to get inside as he pushed back.

Thought we were gonna see an episode of the Country Music Awards this morning…”Strait to the archives.” Would that be as in George Strait? The former US Army Infantryman? Married to his high school sweetheart Norma, a fine looking, well preserved yella haired Texas Girl? That Strait? Now iffen a body was to ring the dinner bell, I’d head straight to the head of the chow line. And if I met the Ms Thang in the gun pr0n article, I’d have to get something straight between us. Not a big fan of the ink, but I did like the curve of her jib.

Them pistol builders that aren’t trying to emulate the works of the Saintly John Moses Browning (Howitzer Be His Name) are doing their damndest to be compared to that Glock Guy. Pity that they can’t try to stand on their own merits.

Oh, and btw, nothing at all wrong with archived FGSs, I watch classic TV reruns right regularly and have many a book that I have read and re-read.

The Altar of John Moses Browning is large and filled with the prayers of people that are alive today, simply because of his God Given Talent to design the instruments of proper self defense, against any and all comers…
Samuel Colt may have made men equal, John Moses Browning brought the icing on the cake !!!
Man I miss my Kimber 1911. That capsized canoe in the Gulf of Mexico where I was taking all my guns to go fishing with because I was afraid of another Jaws movie with me as the star !!!!!
Fortunately when that Great White Shark gobbled up the canoe the guns stabbed the Jaws VI shark right through the brain when he bit down on them !!!
All those guns are at the bottom of The Gulf of Mexico…..
Maybe if they drill for oil out there they will find them and return them back to me !!!
One can only hope !!!

Well, maybe a little one, unless you’re someone like our dishonorable roll call troll after a few years in prison. then you could fit a KOB gun up that orifice !!!

Shorter reset on the CZ, better trigger at a lower cost, better factory sights … given a choice I would buy the CZ. (Glock sights are pretty much place-holder plastic until you can buy a set of real sights, and you will need to go aftermarket replacement to get a comparable trigger. Apples to apples with those mods the Glock is more like a coupla hundred more. Good service gun out of the box maybe, but improvements are nice.)But given a choice, the CZ I would buy would have the number 75 in the name. They feel like a chunk of bank vault was milled into a gun, not like a Tupperware party gone mad. They are even superficially similar enough in appearance to Mr. Browning’s work to pass for one of his.
