Phillip Dale Monkress; phony SEAL in FL

Editor’s Note: Monkress needed a bump up to the top. His lawyer is sending threatening letters to our friends and I guess she decided after a phone call with me, that her threats would only be a day’s welcomed distraction. Someone is walking the halls of Congress with Monkress’ DD214 today asking questions. I’ve added some more evidence that Monkress called himself a Navy SEAL, which seems to be their defense these days, that he never said he was a SEAL. So Lori Benton of Ford & Harrison, Attorneys at Law, you know our number.
Someone sent us some information on Phillip Dale Monkress who was outed late last year by POW Network as a phony SEAL, but he’s still rockin’ the lie, so it’s time to call out the pitchfork brigade. Here’s picture of him in his motorcycle club, the US Military Veterans’ Motorcycle Club;
ADDED: It seems the lawyers are trying to make the point that Monkress never called himself a SEAL, but here’s a page from the Brevard Business News which reprints a slide presentation in their publication;

Let’s remember that if he’s not let go, he’ll have only one phone to use for obscene or threatening phone calls, and if he spends too much time on it, Bluto will give him what for.
I’m not betting the house on his DUI ruining him like it should. I don’t know his record but Im betting heavily on a DL suspension, mandatory classes and a hefty fine at the most. Since he has a bit of cash and a “lawer” he could get it pled down to less then that.
I have to say it though it has been said before, why do these guys all pose as SEALS, SF, Rangers, Delta Force, Marine Force Recon, etc, etc. What is with just saying I got a ribbon for showing up somewhere I didn’t (though that is still posing). Why couldn’t Monkress just say, “hey our ship was sinking but through my expert computer skills I rebalanced the pumps and we made it home”. I would still call BS on it and I wasn’t even in the Navy. But this man has defaced some of the finest we have as many posers choose to do. If he is going to lie, don’t lie so big. And don’t use the lie to garner federal business contracts that real disabled veterans are competing for. I know there are myriad posers here on TAH but this guy epitomizes the worst of them. I think it is his chutzpa about it that makes him the number one POS in my mind. Sorry for reposting the obvious guys. By the way is there any evidence he is an actual disabled veteran? Or is it just word play that the “owners” of his company are?
@1114, yeah, that is what I found out. It’s just one more nail in the coffin. Hell, at this point, we could just melt the nails down and shape THEM into the coffin for Phillip Dale Monkress (another Gooooogle pop).
I actually have a call taper for when idiot telemarketers call me (I’m on the DoNotCall list). I think I’ll use it when/if I get another call from that number.
By the way I am relatively new to TAH so please be patient if my posts are mundane. Not as witty as 2/17,Ex-PH2, Hondo and and a lot of you other guys.

A/C: I gave up on this topic when it went beyond the SV thing. Then it got really interesting again. As so often happens, after a quiet period, “someone” showed up with the typical threats, but then ramped it up more than a couple of notches. Much of the most personal stuff has been removed because it contained personal info which is never published around here.
The threats and attempt at intimidation continued, to include real stalking, calls at home, calls at friends homes and such. And some very odd spam hit. All the goofy stuff (or most of it), has been archived by several people.
This just might be the worst soap opera ever.
@1166 Thanks for enduring my posts. I stopped following for a while then I saw and read about threats and said now it is all out war. Monkress thinks it is Mutually Assured Destruction but he will lose in the end. And hopefully take it up the end. If he wants to call and talk to someone he can have my number. Is that allowed to be posted here? Yes it is worse than watching the Young and The Restless with the wife while I bite a hole in my tongue.
Mr Dingus, as we refer to him in emails between ourselves, has many enemies, apparently. They’ve been calling me today. He has more than one restraining order against him for standing in the street and yelling at people and their wives in front of their houses. That wouldn’t work so well in my neighborhood.
He’s also well known for getting drunk in his office late at night and calling people (sound familiar?). I guess he thinks that he can hide behind his wife, who works on Capitol Hill. Yeah, that won’t work this time.

Carrie Mae Haynes “Kay” Wickre, 92, a retired administrative director with the U.S. Conference of Mayors, died Dec. 13 of pulmonary hypertension at Riderwood assisted living facility in Silver Spring. She was a Silver Spring resident.
Mrs. Wickre was born in Tarrant County, Tex., on a farm west of Fort Worth and attended a Fort Worth secretarial school.
She moved to Washington in 1946 and spent several years as a secretary at the Philippine Embassy. After joining the U.S. Conference of Mayors in 1953, she was initially the executive secretary to the organization’s first director, Paul V. Betters. She retired in 1984 as administrative director.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Silver Spring, where she sang in the choir and served on the church council. She also was active on the National Symphony Orchestra’s Women’s Committee and was a Montgomery County poll volunteer for a number of elections.
Her husband, Paul D. Wickre, died in 1973.
Survivors include two children, Paul K. Wickre of Bethesda and Karen Haynes Wickre of San Francisco.

FYI… according to court records, Monkress did not have his jury trial today, but is on 2-hour call both this week and next. I don’t think he was at court today, but his lawyer was there.

TSO… so far, these clowns haven’t been worth a search on PACER. For Monkress, I merely went to the Brevard County court site and did a 10-second search. Courts generally update things within a day. For Paul, I did the same for Montgomery County, MD. He was recently found guilty of reckless driving in Fairfax County based on a search there too.
Posers and whack-a-doos attacking veterans and service members for the sake of distracting from their own malfeasance has joined stolen valor/bringing discredit to the military in my pet peeve department (which is ever growing as I get older). Our friend Paul got it wrong when he tried to peg me as a sad retired lawyer with nothing else to latch onto. In reality, I have too much respect for the military institution and the people who honorably and humbly served to allow people like this to get a free pass to tarnish the reputation or capitalize on unearned service.

Also forgot… public records in DC note that a Paul K. Wickre was found guilty of DUI in 2001. Based on their public court records, these guys seem to be a menace on the roads among everything else. How on Earth can they maintain security clearances?
