After a very nice Thanksgiving Dinner, good conversation with some great people, and some out of this world pumpkin pie, I came home with enough sunlight to get in some Range Time. I put the scope back on my AR-15, fired 2 rounds to “locate myself”, and put 28 rounds in a 6 inch Shoot NC target, from 100 yards using a 5X scope setting. I have steadied my standing shots by using a “trigger stick”, to support the barrel. Works great:
Nice shooting, Frankie.
What brand AR15 do you shoot?
Ammo: reloads or factory?
I purchased a Windham a few months back. Mounted a BugBuster 3X9 on it and shoot Freedom Munitions reloaded 5.56’s.
Right out of the box @ 50 yds (after firing 5 rounds to bring it in the bull) it stayed there the rest of the morning. Took it out for about the 6th or 7th time two weeks ago, and was still right on the money.
The Windham is made where the old Bushmaster was made until it was sold. Same people, building, machines, front office as before. The quality is awesome and the price is reasonable. I believe the warranty is lifetime and passes to the next owner.

Freedom Munitions is another quality company. 5.56 w/55 grain FMJ with brass cases runs just about 30 cents per round. They also offer free shipping at times & have a 5% LEO or mil. vet. discount.
Have literally fired around 1500K rounds of their ammo in .45 cal/9mm/5.56 with never a bad round & consistently good grouping on target. Heard the same good comments from other shooters I know.
Once I get my RCBS up & running for 5.56, I’ll probably shoot less of their ammo, but will still buy them if needed.

Keep your powder dry, Frankie. 😉
My AR is a “Bear Creek Arsenal” offering. It is their “Ursid II” model, chambered in .223Wylde, making it very compatible with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. I got very lucky, and won mine on a $20.oo raffle ticket that I bought to support the “Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team” back in May. The link below shows my AR-15 with 3 – 9X scope and light, and above it is my Henry .22 LR carbine with 2X scope and light with IR lens. I don’t buy any specific ammo, using mostly Fiochi, in .223, some mil-spec 5.56MM. About the only thing that I won’t shoot is Steel cased junk.
Ironically Freedom’s retail store is within a few miles of me, Thunderstixx, and probably a few more in the northwest Houston area.
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Trump will be President.
Hillary is through.
Happy “Black Friday”, everyone. And, as promised:
THIS JUST IN: per the State Bar of California, Daniel A. Bernath is still disbarred!
The reasons for his being disbarred can be found at the above link. The State Bar Court Disciplinary Court Decision dated 8/28/2016 lists those reasons, and is in Adobe PDF format.
Hope it was worth it, Danni-boi.
And yet it still doesn’t seem to slow him down.
Nor does the fact that clauding to be or falsely practicing law in the state of Florida is a felony.
Maybe it’s because prosecutors are chickenshits and don’t want to bother prosecuting him for all the shut he’s pulled?
Regardless, he’ll run his course, and we’ll hear no more from him eventually.
Claiming. Jeez.
On a whim I Googled up “clauding” in the Urban Dictionary.
It says that clauding is the act of being caught red-handed choking your chicken in the classroom by a substitute teacher and then outright denying the fact while the chicken is still squawking.
All in all, that sounds like something Lawn Dart Danny does constantly, only in a courtroom instead of a classroom.
So maybe a new code word further describing Danni-Boi’s courtroom antics?
Clauding. Sounds good to me.
So did I, and now I have a new word to use! Thanks, SEA! Very appropriate in the context used, as he’s been doing that in court all his career(or what’s left of it)!
SEA, if you’re using one of those tablet thingies or a smartassphone, it is anticipating your input instead of letting you put in what you want for input. You are going to have to watch it like a hawk. Otherwise, it will continue to embarrass you on a recurring basis.
I had to look up that word, thinking it might be an alternate spelling of ‘cladding’, but it is not. Per the Urban Dictionary, it is slang for another wird, describing somewhat unseemly behavior.
Clauding: touching yourself during class and deny with ya bahdangehdang in your hand.
“Yo Man! The sub caught me clauding in class.”
Congratulations! Your smartassphone has become a teenager who will repeatedly embarrass you in public.
Looks like great minds think alike, only it took me 10 minutes longer to put pen to paper.
Yo! Man! We be da connected!
I like, heard that Daniel A. Bernath was REFUSED admission to the Oregon Bar for manifold reasons.
http://www.publications.ojd.state.or.us/docs/S44863.htm
I heard that Daniel Bernath was made an Honorary Corpsman, based on his voluntary efforts of checking homeless men for hernias.
He’s actually an Honorary Proctologist, due to the numbers of two-holes he’s worked over the years…
Oh, that’s right, because Daniel A. Bernath is:
1. A LIAR
2. Committed FRAUD
3. A DEADBEAT DAD
I actually took up for Bird-turd the other day. Someone said he work taint and balls and ate shit sandwiches.
I said that’s a lie. He doesn’t eat bread.
In other news, two moose were found frozen together.
From Associated Press:
In a strange occurrence, two moose were recently discovered frozen together near the remote village of Unalakleet, located on Alaska’s western coast, the AP reported.
The animals’ massive antlers appeared entangled, a sign they had likely been battling over a female moose since it was the end of moose rutting season, according to the AP.
This story defines the term ‘butthead’ to a T.
I read a story recently about to trophy bucks in Kansas that were found dead because thier antlers were locked together
It must be global warming
BHWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!
I thought being permanently attached to someone frozen was an alternate meaning to the term “marriage”
Also in other news, Mr. Ellen DeGeneres was one of 21 people to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom the other night by The Emperor. I kid you not. I hope Mr. Maddow is taking it well.
There’s a story trending on Facebook about a “racist” event that supposedly occurred in Geismar, Louisiana. It does not pass the smell test. Highly unlikely that it happened. Think “Tawana Brawley.”
Hi TAH! Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Since it’s still the weekend, thought I’d post this. This has been around for while, just prior to Gen Mattis deploying to Iraq in 2003. He was asked about officers who were “too busy to read”, and here is his response (it’s long, but a great read): http://www.strifeblog.org/2013/05/07/with-rifle-and-bibliography-general-mattis-on-professional-reading/
I’ll leave you a snippet:
“The problem with being too busy to read is that you learn by experience (or by your men’s
experience), i.e. the hard way. By reading, you learn through others’ experiences, generally a better way to do business, especially in our line of work where the consequences of incompetence are so final for young men.”
Shit fire – written in late 2003 before early 2004 deployment (I was with 1stMarDiv for TacII).
And in the Complaints Department, Jill Stein has raised $5 million to meet her demand for a recount in Michigan, Wisconsin and another state (Ohio?) because no one had enough interest in her to vote for her.
The third state was Pennsylvania. They are the same 3 states in which Clintoon supporters were talking about calling for recounts.
The terms “stalking horse” and “Soros money” come to mind.
Addendum: and the amount of $$$ Stein has claimed she needs to file for these “recounts” has risen as the donations started coming in. Curiously enough, however, the required state filing fees (likely to pay state costs for conducting the recounts, as none are mandatory under state law) have stayed the same. It does lead one to wonder what the remainder will be used for.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-25/mysterious-case-jill-steins-surging-recount-costs
Yeah, “stalking horse” and “Soros money” seem more and more apropos now. And the term “payoff” now comes to mind, too.
Stein is lying in her teeth. She’s just lining her pockets for another go. I still love that video about the ‘direct threat to democracy’.
This, too, shall pass.
Can you say Democrate and Clinton
She must be SO disappointed!
Just woke up for a pisscall, and this news popped up on my phone.
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/11/26/former-cuban-leader-fidel-castro-dies-at-age-90.html
It’s Ben a rough few days; first we lose America’s favorite mother, then we lose America’s favorite Commie bastard. Micheal Moore must be devestated.
Castro is occupying the same level of Hell as Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and his Latino butt buddy, Che… brother Raul will also be there soon, I hope.
Don’t forgot the recently departed Venezuelan communist named “Hugo”.
Fidel was depicted as a goat in the Pogo comics strip.
And the Libby’s through the Green Party candidate or Soro’s
Is quitley having Wisconsin / Michigan and Pennsylvania recounted
Their media partners are keeping a lid on it because they raised
HELL about weather trump would do the same
Just follow the money..
It’s truly the bad day to be a leftist commie
So far, Miss Jill Stein has raised – wait for it! – almost $7,000,000 for those unnecessary ‘recounts’. You should watch her face when she’s facing the camera to talk to a reporter. Can you say ‘lying eyes’?
Ain’t no way to hide those lyin’ eyes.
In the Holiday vein:
“With God as my witness, I thought Daniel Bernath could fly.”
FAA Flight Examiner, (who chooses to not be named).
Castro is dead!!!!
Mr. Maduro does not like the fact that his two nephews have been convicted as cocaine smugglers by a US Court.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-usa-crime-idUSKBN13K2E8?il=0
And Venezuela’s economy is still in the crapper: no jobs, no basic supplies (food, medicines, etc.), no toilet paper. Oh, to be in Venezuela, now that it’s spring!
Venezuela’s economy in the septic tank? I wonder what a certain toddler-minded UC Berserkely stoodint would say about that?
A week ago, there was a news story that all the multinational companies have either sold off their facilities and pulled out completely, or have just given them away. What this means is that there are NO JOBS IN VENEZUELA.
Maduro’s response is to print more money. Have you ever seen a photo from the pre-Hitler era of someone with a wheelbarrow full of money going to buy a loaf of bread?
This one’s for Hondo, the font of all knowledge:
The current inflation rate is now at 1.6%, per this chart: http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/
If it stays there, does that mean that the .3% COLA will be replaced by a COLA that matches the inflation rate?
Unfortunately, no.
Federal law specifies the formula to be used in calculating Social Security COLAs. Specifically, the average CPI-W for the 3rd quarter of the year in which a Social Security COLA was paid is compared with the average CPI-W for the 3rd quarter of the current year. That calculation determines the magnitude, if any, of that year’s COLA.
https://www.ssa.gov/oact/cola/latestCOLA.html
Note that this COLA calculation is based on CPI-W (Urban Wage/Clerical), not the broader CPI-U. Both are published by BLS, and they are NOT identical.
I meant to do this earlier, but food got in the way. The local paper has a good article about supporting local small businesses, especially during the holiday shopping period. In my state, they provide 46.4% of the available jobs. Granted, not all of them are shops where you can purchase specialty products. Some are towing companies, or non-chain pizza shops, but they provide real jobs and real income and the big chains frequently can’t provide what they offer.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SMALL BIZ PEEPS!!!
To Dan Bernath: A good man died last week. A man of character, integrity and honor. A man who gave his life’s career to serve our country. A man I am proud to say was my friend, John Sheppard. Since the years ago Dan when you first appeared on TAH and the photograph was found of John Sheppard which you misused to Photoshop yourself onto, I have not used John’s name. Out of my respect for him and his desires for privacy and to dwell upon the better and finer things of his life. Now John has passed to a greater reward than I fear awaits you Dan and with his passing I will write this to you. John will be remembered dearly, fondly and honorably by all who knew him. Either personally or through this web site. You Dan will not be remembered for more than the cowardly phony and thief of valor which has defined you. You Dan know better than anyone the true depths of the shameful acts you have committed. Your attempt to steal the honor and courage, earned by a man who will remain far greater and more dignified in the least of his accomplishments, than the sum of your life will ever rise to represent, have failed miserably. Not you Dan or anyone, could take the truth of who John Sheppard was from him. So then, take from this what you will Dan Bernath. John never scorned you, nor scolded you. He did pity you for being the small man you are. The world is a much lesser place for the loss of John Sheppard. I doubt this will ever be said of you. If you have a morsel of shame left in you Dan, this is the most proper and fitting of times to look inside yourself, find it and make a close examination of who you are as a man, in the reflection of a good and innocent man you sorely wronged. Redemption is a hard thing to come by Dan because it takes great honesty. Yet redemption is not impossible to… Read more »
